Key Features
  • 4x Filter Factor, 2-Stop
  • Darkens Entire Image
  • Allows Reduced Shutter Speed
  • Allows Wider Aperture
The B+W 112mm MRC 102M ND 0.6 Filter is a neutral density filter with a 4x filter factor that provides a {stopcount}-stop exposure reduction. Its 0.6 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By increasing your aperture or slowing your exposure time, you can control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.

B+W 102M Overview

The B+W 112mm MRC 102M ND 0.6 Filter is a neutral density filter with a 4x filter factor that provides a {stopcount}-stop exposure reduction. Its 0.6 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By increasing your aperture or slowing your exposure time, you can control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters do not affect the coloration of the image and are ideal for pairing with other filters.

To prevent internal ghosting and reflections, each glass surface includes eight layers of anti-reflection coating. This Multi-Resistant Coating (MRC) also offers greater protection to the filter substrate and helps it to stay clean for longer than with uncoated filters. B+W filters are constructed from Schott glass for increased optical clarity. This filter features an F-Pro brass filter ring for durability as well as jamming prevention.

question

What's the weight of the filter Could it be used instead of the balancing ring needed for the X5S?(drone proposes).
Asked by: Alejandro B.
Unfortunately we cannot weight any products here and the manufacturers do not provide the weight of lens filters. It may be best to ask your question on the drone Q&A itself, but we would guess that it is the same weight and could be used as a balancing ring if necessary--though it is not an exact measurement.

Unfortunately we are not able to weigh products here, and it is not a provided specification from the manufacturer. It is recommended you contact the manufacturer for any more in-depth specifications such as this. But it is our guess that it would work very similarly to a balancing ring, though it is not an exact measurement.

question

Will I get vignetting with this filter on a Zeiss 21mm/2.8 ZE lens? Thanks!
Asked by: Anonymous
As a proud :-) owner of the same lens, I can confirm that even two filters do not cause any vignetting on this model. Unlike most manufacturers, the guys from Zeiss used their brains, and greatly oversized the front portion of the lens to avoid the need of much more expensive wide and slim style filters.Zdenek from Canada
