question

Can I send live sound into the camera from a mixer? I understand I may need adapters.
Asked by: Michael S.
Yes! If your mixer offers a Mic out there should be no problem. I f it only had Line Level Out set your camera Mic Level Setting to -2 to reduce the signal level. Use the output level on the mixer to reduce the level to a useable level (loudest part should only bump 1 red box on meter. If output level cannot be lowered use the Headphone output and use the level knob to reduce the signal strength. I shoot many school plays, concerts and dance recitals and this has yielded great results!Another trick. Nee two audio inputs? Order a splitter with a stereo mini plug and two XLR- Female mono plugs.(Or 2 mini mono or 2 RCA mono) One XLR (or other type) recieves the feed and the other my camera mic. One goes to the left side and one goes to the right side. In editing you can pan between the two or copy and paste the audio pair then pan one full left and the other full right for two independent lines. In Premiere Pro you can Modify the audio to 2 channels of mono, problem solved! Fred Smith

question

can you connect a live switcher by the HDMI port ?
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes, you can. That's what I did, I connected two of these cameras to a live switcher for use in a church. The camera switching system is used both for recording/streaming and IMAG on large projection screens.
