question

will it work with profoto d2? if yes will it be any kind of limitations?
Asked by: Šarunas
The XP800 is a pure sine wave inverter and is safe to use with any device that has AC hookup. There will always be limitations with using AC direct (wall) vs DC current though.AC will give you continuous flow, which is essential to take advantage of the d2s' full technical capabilities, I would think. A battery builds and stores power, thus have the propensity to overheat and shut down (for safety), but interrupt the work flow. Most applications used with the XP800 should work well though (paced). High speed power duration usually equates with shorter battery life span as well (which could also be an issue).

question

I have the Dynalite roadmax 1000w power pack with roadmax heads, do you know if this set up would work with this xp800? Thanks.
Asked by: jesus r.
I use my Dynalite Roadmax 800W kit with this battery quite often, so I can't imagine that the 1000W kit wouldn't work.

question

How long would two elinchrom 400W strobes last with this piece
Asked by: Avrumie K.
I don't know about the elinchrom 400w, but I've run two 500 watt Dynamite studio packs on nearly full for close to 700 pops. You should get a bit more with the 400 watts. The product is great! I use it all the time. Plus you can get a spare battery for around $300.

question

Does it have a digital display to find out the battery levels?
Asked by: steve d.
Steve it does NOT have a digital numeric read out. It does have three lights that show the amount of power left. Three steady lights being full. Two is less etc. I hope that explains and helps.
