The Radial Engineering R800 7110 Texas Overdrive Pedal has been meticulously designed to deliver three generations of overdrive to suit many styles of play. This is enhanced with two channels that let you seamlessly switch between rhythm and sustaining lead tones.
With a class-A buffering circuit that retains the natural feel and responsiveness of the guitar, this pedal delivers true bypass connectivity while lowering the impedance and susceptibility to noise. This enables the pedal to efficiently drive multiple pedals and long cables when used on concert stages. A 3-position bite switch on each channel lets you set the character.
In the bottom off position, the Texas Pedal delivers the tone of a vintage Ibanez TS9 conjuring up the bluesy signature sounds. In the middle position, the pedal adds excitement with the tone and dynamics of the popular Fulltone OCD for a modern rock feel. Set to maximum, the pedal elevates your sound to a super high-gain modified TS9 for those who crave heavy metal tones.
For maximum on-stage efficiency, the Texas Overdrive Pedal is configured for clean, rhythm, and lead playability. In the Bypass mode, you get the natural clean sound of your guitar. When activated, you can easily switch between 2 overdrive channels. Channel-1 is designed for rhythm guitar tones. Channel-2 is augmented in the mid-range to increase sustain and cut for solos. Both channels are equipped with a tone and level control that let you tailor each channel to your specific needs. For instance, you can set the rhythm tone with extra high-end to cut through at lower volumes while the lead channel can be set with more bottom-end to fatten solos. The Texas employs an EIS (Electronic Impulse Switching) for durability and quiet switching at all levels without the challenges posed by mechanical switches.
