Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Lumix Camera DMC-ZS25 When I upgraded to the Panasonic Lumix ZS25 this summer (after my previous Lumix broke), I wanted to buy an external battery charger like I had with my older Lumix cameras. Since each model has a slightly different sized battery/charger, I wasn't sure this one would work but it fits perfectly! I also bought an extra battery which was a godsend on vacation. I was able to charge both batteries at night (one in the charger, one using the cable from the camera). I could also use one battery to look at the pictures on the camera while the other battery was charging in this charger. The charger also works great in Europe (I used in Iceland and Sweden) if you have a plug adapter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job It's made of cheap plastic, but tiny and light enough to fit in most portable camera bags (or even a coat pocket) when traveling around with gear. I can charge the battery for my DMC-ZS20 point-n-shoot in just about under three hours, but using the in-camera charge route takes much, much longer. And it's great when you need to charge a spare battery and keep shooting pictures or video with the other.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Should be included with Camera I purchased this charger for my wife's new Panasonic DMC-ZS25 camera and its batteries. It is much easier to use than the charger (attaches directly to camera) provided with the camera. She has two batteries and having this charger always keeps one fully charged.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the newer version This one does have the electrical plug in terminals that fold in. There is an older model that some dealers sell that has a cord you have to plug in. This is very light and compact and it charges the battery for my New Panasonic ZS-20 in about 2 hrs 15 mins.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works well Worked great for 5 years. Probably not smart, but I left it plugged into wall here at home CONSTANTLY for those 5 years. I took it on vacation in Cancun. and wouldn't you know it...I left it plugged into wall there ...and forgot to bring it home. When asked if I wanted to purchase a cheaper model replacement I said No. It worked flawlessly for 5 years, Why would I want to take a chance on another brand? So I got the same one, and fully expect to get ANOTHER 5 years of service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the peace of mind I purchased this as a 2nd charger so that I could have one in my camera bag and another at home and constantly plugged in charging a spare battery. As an electrical engineer I realize how important correct charging is to battery life, and the cost of Lithium Ion batteries can easily be more than that of the charger. There is also a safety issue with Li-Ion - incorrect charging can result in fire and worse (think Boeing 787's). The few extra dollars this OEM charger costs compared to inexpensive equivalent chargers by unknown manufacturers is cheap insurance indeed. The charger is a lightweight universal type suitable for operation from 110-240 volts and the AC blades fold away for compactness when not plugged in, so it is an ideal travel charger. I like that the LED indicator color changes with charge state so there is never any doubt about the charging status. Although I haven't measured it, it charges the battery in a relatively short period of time. I also appreciate that it is self-contained - no separate wall wart or heavy inline transformer is needed.I have used the similar 1st generation model charger (this is a 2nd generation type)that came with the camera for several years now with the original battery and no issues. No downside that I can think of.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buying the best I have to admit that I made the mistake of buying a brand X first, and it was a very bad mistake. I have learn my lesson buy the best for the best price. This charger is great, worked and charged first time. B&H had it for the best price as everything else I have purchased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I needed Though my camera came with a usb battery charger, I found that I really needed an addition option to keep my backup battery charged. This updated unit from Panasonic does the trick. Pricing was the best I could find for this specific item.
