    Belkin F5L149TTBLK reviews

Ultimate Keyboard Case for iPad 2nd, 3rd, 4th Gen is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well designed, cost effective keyboard for the ipad. Well designed, cost effective keyboard for the ipad that compares to the latest apple keyboard which I also have and is not available for the older ipads. In every respect it is just one notch below the apple product. The apple has better key spacing and touch for masculine hands. Both have similar folding concepts. The apple's is just thinner and better executed. The other difference between them has been charging. The Belkin needs to be plugged in occasionally holds a charge. The apple does not have to be plugged in. So, well priced at less than half the cost of the apple keyboard (not available for my unit), just a little less smooth. I am well pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great case for my iPad When I purchased my iPad 4th Generation little did I know that it would wear out and start to come apart. In fact after a few years it wouldn't even stand up. So I started looking for a different type of case. I saw this Belkin case with a keyboard. I ordered it from B&H and since owning it, it is perfect. Nothing to wear out. Pairing it with my iPad via bluetooth was simple and it puts the iPad to sleep with it is all folded up. When the case is all folded up, it's almost no bigger than the iPad by itself. So there is no extra bulk when packing it for travel. When using the keyboard, I like how there are three different angles to place the screen and it works just like a small laptop. I've only had it for less than a week, and I'm really happy with the purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Versatile and streamlined. We are encouraged to use our iPads for diverse tasks 24-7. At work, it's super on a flat surface during meetings and as a side next to a latop. At home it's great on a flat surface while referencing recipes, watching videos, etc. When I use it casually, on the couch or bedside, it's floppsy, as the screen stands in place magnetically. The screen can be at three differenct angles;a versatile feature. It's a great iPad holder for the money. The look is streamlined. Excellent value.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Didn't function as promised. I followed the simple step by step instructions to install the keyboard. I still thought I was doing something wrong. However the blue tooth just came on long enough to connect to my iPad, then itnever-came-back-on again. Either the keyboard wasn't able to hold a charge, or there was a software issue. Belkin's customer service was contacted, and they weren't sure what was wrong either (a lot of guessing) , and felt that I should return the item to the retailer. I don't feel confident with Belkin's products, since they are unable to assist or know what could be wrong.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good price, quality and performance I have been using the case for about two weeks now and it has turned my old iPad2 into a substitute for a laptop during for short business travel. I mainly answer email and the keyboard makes me much more efficient than typing on the screen. The case is nice and the aluminum frame is sharp looking, however I would have preferred simple plastic as I do not know how well it will stand up to dings and scratches. I particularly like that the keyboard can fold behind the to use the iPad in tablet mode. Good quality at a good price. Does the job.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very Good with Very Annoying things Good: The keyboard functionality is EXCELLENT. it's like having a normal, wired keyboard. having the up/down/left/right arrow buttons are a Godsend for those of us with fat fingers. The backlighting is a fantastic addition and was the one reason we picked this keyboard over the other options. (just make sure to turn it off - fn-5 button - when done or it will drain the keyboard batter quicker). Dedicated caps lock button helps as well. Bad: the magnetic release is great if you are often switching between keyboard and free form tablet, but can get clunky if not; also I'm still waiting for the day my kids grab the keyboard and the tablet disconnects. The connection isn't that strong enough to hold together. the Bluetooth connection also has an occasional delay, plus the below issue. the top left button brings you back to the home screen and is kind of redundant, and annoying if you hit it accidentally. REALLY ANNOYING: the Bluetooth connection consistenly disconnects and won't automatically reconnect. This started happening less than a year into owning, and now happens on the regular (~1/wk). it's not complicated to reconnect (see below) but it's annoying as ---- and just becomes one of those small user interface things that makes the experience worse (particularly for infrequent users and/or someone who cannot simply Google the fix, which has happened to my wife twice on airplanes). FIX: Settings - Bluetooth and click the circled "i" next to Belkin Ultimate Keyboard, and choose Forget This Device - OK. Turn OFF bluetooth on iPad (swipe button at top). Hold down fn and the Delete key (it also has a Bluetooth logo with a 1 next to it) for about 5 sec until the little blue light on the right flashes on and off. Turn on Bluetooth and re-pair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Keyboard for the Price! I bought the Belkin keyboard case for my 3rd generation iPad because I was tired of typing my notes for class on the touchscreen. What's really great about this case is that it looks very sleek. I've almost had it mistaken for a mini MacBook Pro or Air. It has the same silver shell and black keys. It's also surprisingly light compared to what I had expected and really easy to use. I like that you get the protection and practicality out of this product. What's not too great about it is the limited range you have when you prop up the screen on top of the keyboard slots. I wish there were more options such as adjusting the angle of the screen. When typing, it occasionally freezes but this problem could be just from the iPad or the app itself. I do use it on a rather elaborate note-taking app called Outline+.Overall, I really do recommend this product. It's much cheaper than most keyboards for iPad and it does its job well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really a Great Case This case is really well designed. Got it for the iPad 2 and it is fully compatible. Love that there are three possible viewing/typing angles and all three connect to the iPad flawlessly.Great protection for the iPad.I did have to delete and re-establish the Bluetooth but have had no problems since.
