Product Highlights
The Schoeps CCM 4S LG Compact Microphone has a low-frequency roll-off at 20 Hz with a slope of 12 dB/oct to compensate for the low-frequency boost which occurs due to the proximity effect during close pickup applications, and remove infrasonic noise. This +12/+48V phantom powered microphone is used primarily in voiceover and sound reinforcement work, and wherever good speech audibility in a noisy environment is a requirement. The unit has a flat frequency response of 80 to 20,000 Hz at a distance of 3.9” (10 cm).
This compact microphone consists of 2 main components, an acoustic transducer (the capsule) and an integrated microphone amplifier within the same enclosure. The capsule converts air pressure into a varying electrical voltage and influences the directionality and tonality of the microphone.
The amplifier component charges the capacitive capsule, obtains the audio signal, and converts it into a balanced low-impedance signal. The circuitry of the microphone features a balanced, class-A output stage without the use of output transformers.
