The nickel MK 21HNI by Schoeps is a compact microphone capsule for the Colette series amplifier. It is used to capture audio for various instrument and vocal situations in applications such as recording studios, film shoots, live sound and more. It features a frequency response that rises at higher frequencies. The MK 21H provides an additional desired brightness when capturing percussion, acoustic guitar and vocal instruments while still maintaining their original character. Reaching +4dB at 7kHz, and unlike most other condenser microphones, this capsule's response does not roll off. It is consistent for all directions of the pick-up pattern.
