question

how do I hook it up and make it work?
Asked by: Anonymous
which hook up do you mean. if you mean, just to hook and and play something, a good ole hdmi cable is all that you need. for me anyway, i used an hdmi cable and hooked it into my receiver. i assigned an input for the device and bam, it was playing. if u dont run a receiver, an hdmi cable straight to an open hdmi port on your tv will work. if not an hdmi cable, the back supports a variety of connections. hope that helps.

question

Can I play DVDs dubbed on this unit using any other DVD player? If this is dependent upon the recording format is it possible to make that choice?
Asked by: Anonymous
If I understood the question correctly.A DVD recorded on this device can be played on any other device. An option at the end of recording allows you to finalize it. I have played all my burned DVD's on other devices. I hope I have answered the question!

question

I need a unit that will output the VHS video signal to either the Component (Red-Green-Blue) output or the HDMI output. Can someone definitively say whether this unit can do this? I see the question asked below, but staff and customers are giving opposite answers.

question

the vcr side will not eject the tape ?
Asked by: Anonymous
On both the unit, and the remote are functions to eject both a vcr tape + the dvd.. In most cases when the vcr tape won't eject the simple usually is the tape is jammed. Thus meaning that the vcr tape went beyond it's case, and is fouled in the inner workings of the vcr unit. Most of us whom still have vhs tapes understand that tape (that is magnetic tape) degrades over time. Mostly this is causes by moisture, lack of, the way that vhs tapes are stored, etcetera.. Hope this helps you with your Funai machine.. Take care of those tapes, for they are becoming relicts.

My problem: I followed the manual carefully. It now plays old VCR tapes - but refuses to play (much less record) DVD's. Anybody out there?
