Moab F01-SLS300131925 reviews

Slickrock Metallic Silver 300 Archival Inkjet Paper (13 x 19", 25 Sheets) is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very different than metallic pearl ! I am a regular user of Moab Slickrock Metallic Pearl for both color landscape and B&W figure/studio work and I love that paper. When this paper (Metallic Silver) came out, I ordered a box without ever seeing a sample, and I regret that move. This paper is NOTHING at all like the Metallic Pearl; it's much duller with a far lower white point and images that work on the pearl may not work on the silver. I think this paper is more of a paper that will suit a very narrow range of images as opposed to one that will suit all types of images, and I can not strongly emphasize enough that you attempt to see a sample on this paper prior to purchasing. Overall, I was hoping for something more similar to the Metallic Pearl with perhaps a touch more gloss, but this is not it. Be careful when considering this paper as I expect most will have a very distinct love or hate relationship with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Moab Slickrock Metallic print paper. Hi, I purchase a 25 pack the the Moab Slickrock paper in the 13X19 format, and when it was delivered and I opened the package the first thing I noticed was the silver color of the print side of the paper, (the previous metallic paper I'd used had a whiter sheen to it) it also seemed to be a nice heavyweight paper, when I printed a few different pictures I noticed the metallic sheen was a little more enhanced from The other type of metallic paper I'd tried. The price was actually a little less then the other paper I tried. All in all seems like a good product at a fair price.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Delicate and fragile I had high hopes for this paper. After reading the reviews I thought I would give it a try. When I opened up the packaging I noticed right away metallic flakes on the paper. I tried to remove them ended up scratching the paper. So I started going through the stack and just about every sheet was either covered with flakes or had scratches. I ended up returning the paper as only a few sheets were actually usable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Heavy Metal Recently returned from a photographic trip to the Southwest, including Moab and Arches National Park. Was pretty excited to return home and find my Silver 300 paper waiting on the porch. I had previously printed a batch of portraits and figure studies using the metallic Pearl paper. Well, the Metallic Silver was a bit much for me on the red rocks of the Southwest. My impression and that of several photographers was that it gave the photos a coppery look. I haven't yet used the paper for B & W images, and it may well excel at those, particularly some images that need that extra little kick to make them brilliant. I did like the surface and weight of the paper. Had zero problem with curling or warping, and it was very dry instantly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not your usual paper by a long shot! The finish on this paper resembles a sheet of satin polished aluminum which, to my eye can just as easily detract from an image as provide a spectacular touch. When it works, this paper adds a surprising depth and richness to both black and white and color prints. Other times it just looks like a gimmick. in either case the prints are rich, clean and surprising, dry to the touch directly from the printer This paper is great fun to play with but be advised that you are just as likely to wind up with a failure as something spectacular!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent product Gives an authentic metal print look. I use it for sepia and black and white prints and am very pleased with the results. The only cons were that the top 3 sheets of metallic paper had been slightly damaged by shipping. The manufacturer's box was very durable and B&H outer box was also very sturdy but I believe the bouncing around during the shipping process caused damage to the top three sheets - they had very small pieces of the metallic coating flaking off and were unusable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible finish This is like printing on a sheet of metal. Beautiful finish for the right photo. A totally new deminsion for me in metallic prints. Love it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great paper for a new kind of look with the metallic base. For certain images, this paper is so dramatic. the colors print differently so you have to adjust for the change but it is worth the effort when you want that metallic look. it feeds in the epson 2880 printer like mat Ultra premium paper and so is no problem printing.
