One of the best
I purchased this mic for the main preaching pastor at my church. We were having feedback issues because he basically preaches right under the loudspeakers. In addition, we needed a headset mic that would fit his head better to ensure the mic wouldn't slide up or down throughout each service. We were using omni-directional Countryman style microphones but wanted the best of the best, so we turned to DPA. This mic did not disappoint. The sound is crisp and natural. It truly rejects off-axis sound. We are using it with the included windscreen, which may be something to consider if you are looking to buy. I took the windscreen off (just to test) and noticed there was some low end rumble when he would walk around the stage. There was just amount of wind near the capsule causing the issue. I attached the included windscreen and fixed it instantly, but the visual/aesthetic is something to consider if you don't want that look. Last thing I'll say is he tends to preach very LOUD, and sometimes clipped other mics without clipping the preamp. This DPA mic does a phenomenal job at capturing loud SLPs and maintaining a natural, human-sounding signal. SUPER pleased with this mic and hope to use it for many years to come.
