The Logistics Manager 30 - Rolling Gear Case from Think Tank is a large location bag designed to accommodate anything from a full DSLR system with multiple long telephoto lenses up to 600mm f/4 to a complete lighting system. As a camera bag, it will hold several DSLRs as well as many lenses and flashes. As a lighting bag, it will hold numerous flash heads, power packs, mono-blocks, medium sized softboxes, and small light stands. In either scenario, there is also plenty of room left for accessories in both interior and exterior storage pockets.

This case represents an enhancement of the previous Think Tank Logistics Manager. Some of the improvements include lockable zipper sliders, a stiffer lid to protect the contents, zippered side pocket for the included cable and lock. In addition, the serial number ID plate is now molded plastic. The lid straps are now longer to provide more choice of angles when the case is opened. Mesh interior pockets replaced the older polyurethane windows and the overall weight of the case has been reduced by 15%.

The expandable front zippered organizer pocket holds business essentials such as pens, note pad, phone, and business cards. With over 3600 cubic inches of storage space as well as customizable dividers, your gear can be arranged to meet your needs. Most 17" laptops will fit in another expandable front pocket. For security, a cable and combination lock are included that can be used to attach the case to a fixed object while you work.

The exterior is water-repellent and the inside is closed-cell foam, nylon and polyethylene. The case's rain cover can be readily deployed if the weather turns against you. Two in-line skate wheels, a telescoping tow handle and three side handles provide multiple options for hauling. The security ID plate can be registered with Think Tank so that if the case is lost, the number can be used to trace its owner.

Improvements Over Previous Logistics Manager Rolling Case
  • The main zipper sliders have been replaced with lockable zipper sliders instead of a TSA (Transportation Security Administration) lock
  • The lid is significantly stiffer in order to maintain its shape once the pockets are loaded
  • The back zippered cable lock pocket has been removed and there is now a more convenient lock/cable location in the side pocket
  • The backing for the serial number ID plate has been upgraded to molded plastic to improve strength
  • The length of the lid straps has been increased to allow for multiple lid angles
  • The interior lid pockets have been upgraded to mesh in place of the polyurethane windows
  • Weight has been reduced by approximately 15%

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing Bag! As expected this bag is huge and has amazing versatility. The array of extra partitions and dividers is a great plus to allow you to customize the bag. I primarily use it for camera gear and I can pack and carry just about everything. The previous version of this bag had a mounted lock on the side of the bag to lock in the zipper pulls. Sadly this has been removed and replaced with a single TSA lock. The lock is attached to the side cable that allows you to secure the bag in place. But if you don't lock the zippers someone could easily unzip the bag and take what they want out of it. They really need to bring back that additional lock for the zippers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works with 2x Profoto Acute 1200 kits I wasn't sure if my kit was going to fit so hopefully these pictures can help someone else see the size. I have 2x Profoto Acute 1200 packs, 4x Acute/D4 heads, 2x Zoom Reflectors, 1x Seven Inch Reflector, 1x Disc Reflector. Note that to get all that in there, the heads are not padded between each other. The reflectors sit on the bottom with the heads vertically inside them, with the cords acting as surprisingly good padding. A couple foam blocks from home depot or Amazon stuffed where there's a little jiggle room (not shown) and you're good to go. The heads are ever so slightly too tall for the height of the bag but the lid still closes easily. I'll update if this ever becomes an issue (ie. heads getting damaged etc.) but I suspect because of the build of the bag that this will be fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Case We just got this case after upgrading to Two C100 MK II's. We are trying to consolidate all of our wedding gear into one case to take into venues that do not have a lot of room for us. The case is built like a tank, and holds a ton of gear, we take to C100 mkii's, a gh4, a 5dmk 3 and a full set of lenes. It fits our 70-200's vertically which is great, and I can still get a small audio setup in the case. It gets a bit heavy, but the wheels roll super smooth, only issue is when you have to carry up steps. They include more dividers than you will ever need so you can configure it anyway you need. It is too big for carry on...but I tested it out and I can fit both my monopods, a small tripod and my kessler slider in the case with all the dividers out. I plan yo use it this way and check in when we go on location next week and carry the camera gear on n back packs. All in all very happy with the case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's a Big 'Un I shoot video of canine nose work (scent detection) trials and use 3 DSLRs and 4 Panasonic video cameras with a bunch of lenses, filters, accessories and paperwork. I use a cart to haul around all this gear plus 6 tripods and a bunch of weight bags and grew tired of hunting for what I needed in a rolling bag and a shoulder bag. Inevitably by the end of the day stuff was anywhere and everywhere. This bag makes me feel organized and together because there's enough space for everything to have its own home. Yes, it's heavy loaded up (58 lbs not including weight bags or tripods), but it's worth it. I love the lid that doesn't fall all the way back, too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Almost Perfect Bag I use this bag to transport my camera or lightning equipment, it's the perfect size for packs and all my essentials on set. Although as I work internationally the bag weight it self of 15/20lb due to its reinforcement or amount of dividers does effect how much I can take. The contraction of the bag is perfect as well, especially the wheels.. they can easily be replaced if broken and they don't sink into the bag itself like so many others do when overloaded or aged.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Holds Everything This fits almost everything I own. Packed with: DSLR, 17-50 f/2.8, 28-75 f/2.8, 70-200 f/2.8, 35mm f/1.8, 3 flashes, pocket wizards, Photek Softlighter, Lightsphere, micro apollo, rocket blaster, batteries, filters. If I move some things around, it will even hold a second camera body. Unfortunately it is just a tiny bit too small to hold my reflector.
