Does this device record the video as a solid full clip or does it break up the video into multiple clips?

Solid clip limited by the memory card size. Monarch HD provides settings for recording your input source for video on demand (VOD), high-quality editing, and archiving/previewing purposes. Content can be recorded to MOV and MP4 file formats on a FAT32 or NTFS file system

question

Has anybody use it with Roland V-1HD switcher to broadcast to youtube and Facebook?
Asked by: Brenda G.
We don't use a Roland, we use a ATEM 1 M/E however the source, so long as it can output or be converted to HDMI, shouldn't matter. We come out of our ATEM through an HDMI split (1 goes to program monitor, 2 goes to Matrox). HDMI into the Matrox. From there we stream to our CDN, and to Facebook. We then have a external USB 3.0 hard drive attached to the Matrox and make a local recording. The Matrox will stream to CDN that uses the rmtp protocol, which is pretty much everyone.
