    SHAPE CANDYBL reviews

Black Liquorice Candy DSLR Handle is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beware of hot shoe handles I like the ergonomics of the handle, and it makes low mode shooting on small format cameras easier, BUT I have now dropped two cameras (and broke one lens) because there is no locking function. No matter how hard Ive tried, it does not tighten down securely, enabling the camera to slide right off when pointed down.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for casual shots I use it mainly for filming bmx and skateboarding. I don't film often so I hated having a large portion of my bag dedicated to a regular or folding handle, but I do want the option of being able to film rolling or handheld shots. This take up no space, with a threaded adapter I can use my mic and is perfect to have in the bag for when I want to film rather than shoot photos. I wish it was just a hair bigger because even as an average sized dude it feels a little small even before the microphone is attached.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very impressed Usually adding stuff like this to your hot is useless and usually slips off. However this thing holds on like it's part of the camera. Solid great grip. And holds the weight of my monitor no problem. Say goodbye to bulky cages this works great.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from almost Constructed well, with lots of threads for accessories. Small enough to not be obtrusive, solid feeling enough to seem reliable BUT- The nut that threads down to clamp the unit tight in the camera shoe doesnt thread down all the way. It doesn't even touch the shoe. Since I needed to use it on the day I cut a piece of cardboard to make a washer. That still didn't really do the trick so I just took the thing off all together. Fatal flaw on an otherwise promising piece of low cost gear.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid but too small I like the Shape Handel it fits my Canon 70D nicely and does not feel like it will slip out of the shoe mount. Feels solid and sturdy. However it would be much better if it was larger. It is too small in my opinion to add much more onto it. It has nice holes which I was able to attach my microphone off of but because it is so small I can only really use one of the back holes to mount anything otherwise it will be in the way of my grip. But its an easy way to get some great low angle shots.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great, but short. Great little handle with numerous threaded holes for attachments. I would have like it to be a little longer for a better grip.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too small for upward angle This handle is very small with just a little side to side play. What I like about handles is they allow you to get cool, natural low angle shots. However, this handle isn't long enough to grab further forward to tilt properly. Also, there is a rubber label on the front tht would be the most logical spot to attatch a monitor, but you can't because it is the only spot without 1/4-20 holes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good tool for your kit I really like this little handle. Its way cheaper than the insane price point i've seen for similar products. The thing is, its a little small for my hand. I wish it was about 30 percent bigger and I'd give it 5 stars. But it reliably holds my monitor and mic and still allows me to get low angle shots quite easily. Combined with my mini-rig its a great purchase.
