The red Active Series DVZ Full-HD 1080p Pocket Digital Video Camera from General Electric is a rugged compact camera with a 14.4MP 1/2.3" Aptina A-Pix CMOS image sensor. The A-Pix technology helps capture sharp images with vibrant colors, even in low light. The camera's 6-18mm f/2.8 lens has a 35mm equivalent focal length of 35-105mm. The DVZ features a 2.5" 230k-dot LCD screen with Auto Brightness adjustment. Capture Full HD 1080p video at 30fps, and view your creations on a big screen via the camera's micro HDMI (Type D) output. The dual record function even lets you snap photos at the press of a button while recording video.
The DVZ has waterproof seals and gaskets that give it a depth rating of 16.4', and is also built to withstand shock from drops of up to 4.9'. Additionally, it's freezeproof and has an airtight chassis that protects the interior from dust, sand and dirt.
Optical image stabilization counters the effects of camera shake, and Face Detection automatically focuses and optimizes exposure for sharp pictures. You can also capture super-wide photos by panning the camera across a scene to create a seamless panoramic image. In-camera red-eye removal lets you bring back your subjects' natural eye color immediately, while viewing images on the LCD.
Additionally, the camera features HDR capabilities in post-processing. The built-in Micro USB 2.0 port enables you to upload videos and photos and charge the battery. For image compression, the available quality options are Best, Fine and Normal. The DVZ camera offers support for 25 languages.
