Redrock Micro 2-063-0001 overview

  • 1Description

Enabling the use of Nikon F mount lenses on your Canon EF mount camera, this Lens Adapter from Redrock Micro features a durable, machined aluminum alloy construction along with a no-slip design intended specifically for video use. In addition to the traditional bayonet mount, this adapter is also secured in place using a locking set screw pin and set screws to ensure a firm connection that is ideal for focus pulling and constant use.

This manual adapter has a non-electronic design and will not communicate lens data to the camera body. It requires the use of manual exposure modes and manual focus during use.

Nikon F to Canon EF Lens Mount Adapter is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 23.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm shocked more people aren't using this. In simple, it fits nice and snug and my Nikon Nikkor f/2.0 AI lens. I've used it so far on my Canon t2i and my Canon C100 Mark 1. Fantastic. It was easy to install, just need some patience since the screws are tiny so do this in a secure area. A tip.. I would apply the screw onto the Allen key with the key facing up, then it'll stay in place as you turn it down and guide it into the hole to mount. I didn't need any tweezers. Everything you need is provided. Real simple, no taking anything apart. I wish they provided/sold spare screws just in case. But I'm sure a substitute can be found somewhere in the world. I cannot wait to expand my lens kit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Help to install please! Hello, I hope you guys can help me. I purchased a Zeiss 135mm and a Zeiss 25mm both with nikon mount. I have a canon 6d, but I only make videos, so people told me to buy the lenses with the nikon mount and not the canon one because the nikon mount zeiss lenses come with manual aperture control. The thing is that i have the lenses, my camera and a REDROCK nikon to canon mount adapter and i really dont know how to install it on the lenses. Because there is no place for the little screws to insert! In the camera the mount fits perfect, but i dont know how to put it on the lens... it fits but theres no CLICK. Thank you all

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great! I bought an Canon EF mount adapter for my Nikon lens so that I could use it on my Canon C100 and 60D or video. My old adapter was made by Bower and it had a lot of play which I hated. When I saw the Red Rock Micro adapter I though... I'll give it a shot since they make some great gear. I wasn't disappointed. There are 4 very small allen head screws that come with the adapter to lock it onto the lens. The micro allen wrench also comes with it. You snug then down and are good to go. No sloppy play! I plan to look for more Nikkor lenses and use these adapters. Get one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST LENS ADAPTOR IVE TRIED Have purchased several different lens adaptors - all are pretty poor - Some don't like going on Canon C100 / C300 sometimes - or they don't focus to infinity as the adaptors are too thick - and the lens always moves when u change focus... This RedRock Micro one screws onto the lens... is thin so I'm sure will focus to infinity - doesnt really move once on the lens (still a tiny bit of movement) but more solid than others - doesnt move the lens when u turn focus barrel - its the best adaptor I've seen for the price - only thing that might be better is the $ adaptor - i think this is the best buy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid build, Does exactly what it needs to do. First, have a pair of tweezers or very small pliers on hand. Second, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. Other than that, it's easy, and solid. NOTE: this is NOT meant to switch between lenses. If you have more than one Nikon/Nikkor lens, buy one for each. Once it's on there, you won't want to remove it. You can, just not very easily. Also, this does NOT support any AF or aperature or any other electronics. Manual only. I don't yet know the weather sealing on it, but I'm not about to test it. I think I'll keep this in the studio. I love being able to use my favorite old Nikkor nifty fifty again!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than the cheaper ones This is a step up from some of the cheaper adapters in that it doesn't wobble at all. You don't want your lens to wobble, ESPECIALLY when shooting video. The set screw helps to keep it in place, but it also makes it kind of tedious to swap the adapter. If you plan on using this in the field and need to swap lenses often, get one of these for each lens and keep it on there. You will waste too much time swapping the adapter otherwise. Keep in mind that this is just for manual lenses, but for the price you weren't expecting otherwise. Works great for what it is.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic! This lens adapter works exactly how it should. It's built to last. Made out of a tough precision-machined aluminum, the adapter is lightweight but doesn't sacrifice strength. The adapter comes with all the screws and tools necessary to mount it to the lens first, securing with four small screws, and then locking the adapter mounted lens into the body of the camera. The modification takes a bit of steady hands, but luckily the kit includes a printed out step-by-step instruction guide to make the installation as easy and as clear as possible. Be careful, the screws are incredibly small which make them really easy to lose. The adapter locks the lens into the camera body securely, and I've not experience a single light leak. Fantastic design, fantastic price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent adapter! The Redrock Micro Nikon to Canon EF Adapter allows you to connect Nikon lenses to your Canon EOS camera (in this case, the camera I was using was the t3i). As I had many old Nikon lenses that were not in use, I decided to purchase an adapter. My immediate concern was that it would not fit, but upon receiving it, my worries soon dissolved as I attached the adapter. It fits perfectly on my lenses and there is no wiggle when focusing or zooming (even on my heavy Quantaray zoom lens), which is crucial for shooting video. Because the adapter requires very tiny screws and can be mildly challenging to attach, I recommend purchasing one adapter per lens. This way, you won't need to worry about removing and re-attaching the adapter to a new lens, or losing screws in the process (on that note, be sure not to lose any screws, as the adapter does not come with any replacements). All in all, this is an excellent product with good construction and excellent value. it is also one of the most affordable adapters I have seen. If you already have good Nikon lenses, this will save you potentially hundreds of dollars by allowing you to use Nikon Lenses with your Canon cameras. Happy shooting!
