    Brother MFC-9130CW reviews

MFC-9130CW Wireless Color All-in-One Laser Printer is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 465.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still putting out some great color Update since my previous comment. Put my MFC-9130CW online back in January and have printed out some great photo's even on plain copy paper. I still havn't discovered any real cons on this printer with the exception of it's ratrher large footprint and the weight at 55.1 lbs. As I stated in my previous comment I print mostly letters and envelopes however on some occassions I print pictures downloaded from the Internet as a visual aid to discuss health problems with my VA doctors, and am including one downloaded and printed from the Internet with the MFC-9130cw with this comment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Bang For The Buck This monster has a large footprint and weigh's 50.1 pounds which is the only Con I've found on it so far. Color output is phenomenally vivid for an entry level color lazer printer. Prints out color photo's with the best of them. To use Fax service on cable use the VoIP in settings under initial setup then press compatibly press Basic(VoIP) press home and your good to go. At 19 pages per minute if you need speed in the work force or home office go with a more expensive Brother model but for general all around printing needs this printer will do all that you could want it to do. Brother Tech Support is Top Notch and there when you need them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buy ME instead of another Inkjet Over the years I have owned too many inkjet printers. Either because I inherited them or thought I couldn't afford better. Well guess what? If you add up all the cost of wasted ink having to "clean" or "unclog" the printer heads you CAN afford this printer. Before if I didn't print for days the heads became clogged and you didn't know this until you tried to print and it came out with missing text or striped. Now no matter how long it is between printings I have a machine that reliably prints and with accurate color matching. Yes, I know it is no photo printer but it does a decent job. You can't go wrong with this printer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hey, it's a Brother product - 'nuff said I purchased this all-in-one after my previous Brother printer/copier/fax gave up the ghost after many years of unfailing service. The quality of the previous device left no doubt in my mind that its replacement would also be a Bother product. I've been using it for several weeks now and couldn't be happier with the quality of the prints and the speed at which it delivers both prints and copies. The touch screen is large enough to read easily and guides you through the set up procedure and the print/fax/copy and scan functions with ease. My laptop and printer are connected wirelessly and work seamlessly. Botton line - I'm a happy camper.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Manual Feed is worthless We were disappointed to learn that you have to use the manual feed to print speciality paper/cardstock/envelopes, and to make matters worse, you can only print one at a time. The input grabs the media one out of every 5 tries, and we are continually getting paper jams when there is no jam, and we have to remove all toner cartridges, or power off the machine. On top of that, having to move the machine every time we want to use the manual feed to open the back compartment is completely counter-productive and ridiculous. This is so poorly designed, we are going to have to buy another printer so we can print our mailings efficiently.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Confusing MFC Getting the 9130 was a good choice until I had to connect the fax to my 2 line telephone. I attempted to get help from Brother but it took 30 to 45 minutes to get anyone to answer either on the phone or on their chat line. Then, when I did, they knew little about how I could accomplish this. I eventually went to my phone company and paid to have a technician come and address my problem. The problem is that there is only one line allowed into the fax so the second line became inoperable. Consumer service? Nice people, but surely not competent or willing to pass you on to someone who may have more knowledge. PS the stars represent the machine once it is fully functioning, customer service would receive .5

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Recommendation success This was recommended in various websites and in my facebook feed. Therefore, I abandoned my original choice and chose this. So far, so good. It was easy to set up the wired connection to my iMac. It was a little more difficult to set up the wireless connection. The device drivers on the CD that ships with the printer were not compatible with mac os 10,10. I had to go to the web site to download the most current version. The manual mentions a MF Pro Suite that was not included in the download. I will have to contact Brother to find out if that is available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Thrifty Printer I have had Brother printers for many years, and keep graduating up. I started with the plain laser, then the multifunction (still have) laser. I needed to add some color to my life, and got another brand inkjet printer. After having Brother products, I was disappointed with the other brand - I had to change the color bottles almost every other time I used it. Bought the MPC 9130 CW. Color is great, it looks like a print shop, and the laser cartridges last a LONG time. Had to call support one time (for a mistake I made) - they exceeded expectations and walked me through the fix! Thank you!
