The Netstor NA333TB 3U 16-Bay Thunderbolt 2 Storage and PCIe Expansion from Dynapower USA is a Thunderbolt 2 rack-mount solution that combines storage and PCIe expansion functions. It is ideal for video editors and video professionals who use Thunderbolt 2-equipped small form factor computers such as Mac mini, iMac and MacBook Pro at work. The storage array can be configured into various RAID levels including RAID 0, 1, 10, 3, 5, 6, 30, 50, 60 and JBOD for high performance and maximum data protection when equipped with any standard SAS/SATA 6G/3G PCIe RAID controller card with a Thunderbolt driver.
The enclosure uses Intel's up-to-date Thunderbolt technology featuring ultra-fast I/O performance of 20 Gb/s for any host with a Thunderbolt 2 port and ultra-flexibility to daisy-chain up to 6 Thunderbolt devices including a display via a single Thunderbolt chain. Through the PCIe expansion function of the storage enclosure, any PCIe add-on cards, including RAID controllers, video capture cards, Fibre channel or 10G network interface cards and audio/graphics accelerator cards can be installed. Any Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapter or 10G network interface card with a Thunderbolt-aware driver can be installed inside the 3U 16-bay enclosure to make a Storage Area Network (SAN) available to the Mac mini server.
