A ZERO coating has also been applied to individual elements to suppress surface reflections and flare for greater contrast and color fidelity in a variety of lighting conditions. Additionally, a Movie & Still Compatible (MSC) autofocus system is employed to deliver quick, quiet, and precise focusing performance to suit both video and photo applications.

Mid-length telephoto prime is designed for Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras and provides a 150mm equivalent focal length.
Fast f/1.8 maximum aperture helps to achieve shallow depth of field and selective focusing effects, and also benefits working in difficult lighting conditions.
Three extra-low dispersion elements help control chromatic aberrations and color fringing in order to achieve a high degree of clarity and color accuracy. Two high refractive index elements are also featured, and help to suppress spherical aberrations and distortion for improved sharpness and resolution.
A ZERO (Zuiko Extra-low Reflection Optical) coating has been applied to individual elements to minimize lens flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color fidelity when working in strong lighting conditions.
Movie & Still Compatible (MSC) autofocus system benefits both photo and video applications due to its smooth, quiet, and fast performance.
Rounded nine-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality.

If you want to photograph people acting naturally, there is no better lens. The bokeh is eprfect, autofocus instant, weight and size just right, and image quality unbeatable. I wanted this lens for years and finally got it on sale last year, and for once at least, all the expectations were spot on. It is my favorite lens in the system.

I love the sharpness, colors, and portability this lens uses. Bokeh is gorgeous with nice, round edges to background lighting. Focus mechanism is a bit noisy but nothing of concern.

Beautiful Lens in Full or Low Light

The 75mm m43 Olympus lens is smooth and sharp. The focus is fast looks bright even in low light. I purchased this lens to get photos of both flora and fauna in low light, which is often the best time to see nature come to life. This is billed as a longer range portrait lens, but is quite useful for photos of life in nature in lower light situations. Whatever your photo plans you won’t be disappointed with this lens.

I own this lens, two Oly Pro lenses (7-14 & 12-40), as well as the 45/1.8 and Pany 20/1.7. This lens is noticeably sharper than any of those lenses. While the range of difference between the others can initially be hard to tell, the 75 really jumps out right away when I am in post as being the best. I love it and use it as often as possible. I have found it particularly useful for candid shots, at a mid-distance from the subject.

I've never owned a sharper lens. But it can't focus worth a darn in sun or shade. The only way to improve the AF is to use a high ISO.

My name is Michael and recent got the chance to joy the Len 75mm f/1.8 lenses and see the difference what everybody raving about? The pictures come out clearer color sharpen and the back ground faded milky make it look like focusing on this person portrait shot look like professional shot make whole lot easier to do. This just the beginning of my passion of camera and still learning about other lenses as well.

I snapped some shots in my yard at f1.8 with this lens mounted on a GH5. Here is a shot of my irises. I never knew just how intricately and delicately detailed these flowers really are. The amazing design of the Iris shines through this lens. Notice the colors, the details, the bug sitting on the focal point of the shot, and the shallow depth of field that brings our eyes to the beauty of this flower with all its glory. Go ahead, zoom into the picture and enjoy a wonder of God's creation.

How does the "Movie and Still compatible " autofocus system build into the lens work with the camera's autofocus?

The MSC (Movie & Still Compatible) mechanism has been specially developed to enable fast, quiet autofocusing; it provides smooth focusing while ensuring low noise. The MSC mechanism would be compatible for use with the autofocus system inside mirrorless digital cameras that use the Micro Four Thirds lens mount.

Will it work on a Panasonic GX7?

From what I can tell the GX7 uses micro four thirds lenses. Both Panasonic and Olympus do very well at sticking to the micro four thirds standard, meaning you can use either brand lens or either brand body. So yes, if the GX7 is a micro four thirds body, the Olympus 75mm will work quite nicely. As a reference I have an Olympus body and I use both Olympus and Panasonic lenses. Also this 75mm f/1.8 is of excellent build quality. You won't be disappointed.

Is the lens able to focus when in Continuous AF mode? Say for sports or moving subjects?

Lens will focus super fast if Your camera has a fast focus. Slow focus on camera will cause missing shoots.EPL, EPM series are not that fast. I am going to say Olympus OMD: top of the line , Panasonic GH4, GX8 are fast focusing cameras.
