Lowepro 250 AW Overview

The slate grey Transit Sling 250 AW from Lowepro is versatile travel bag made of weather-resistant 600D polyester. It can accommodate a DSLR with a 24-70mm or a 70-200mm lens attached, as well as two additional lenses, a flash and accessories. There is also a dedicated compartment in the back of the bag for a 10" tablet.

A modular internal UltraFlex divider system allows you to choose one of two compartment configurations for storing your photo gear in the bag. The first is the dual compartment option featuring a separate top area and a main camera area with quick side-access to your camera. The configuration can be changed by pulling a red tab on the central divider and folding it down, making a more spacious main compartment in the bag.

For storing smaller items, the Transit Sling has a hidden passport pocket on the outside of the front flap, and a zippered accessory pocket with a key chain strap on the inside. There is an open mesh pocket along the back inside the top compartment. For carrying the bag, you can use the sling strap as well as the nylon webbed grab handle at the top of the bag.

Hideaway tripod mount secures a compact tripod to side of sling with pull-out tripod cup and nylon strap with quick-release buckle
Included all-weather cover hidden at bottom front of bag can keep gear dry in rain or snow
SlipLock attachment loops allow optional pouches to be secured to sides of sling
Retractable waist and sternum straps add support when wearing the bag and can be tucked away when not in use

question

How does the hideaway tripod mount work? Satisfactory?
Asked by: Allen C.
It works decently, it is basically a pocket where you insert the end of the tripod and it holds it steady with the strap.

question

Will this hold the Canon 5D Mark II with 24-70mm lens such that I can access the camera from the side pocket?
Asked by: May L.
I purchased this bag along with the Canon 70D and the 24-105 and i can easely access this from the sidedoor - no problem. However - I do beleive the casing on the 5D Mark II is bigger but it should fitt, at least the lens is shorter than mine so no problem there. I even have a Rapid Fire sling attached when the camera is put in from that sidedoor.

question

One of the videos for these lowepro backpacks shows that they actually have a second strap on the other side so that they can be used like a regular backpack, with one strap over each shoulder. Does this model have that second strap?
Asked by: Corey F.
I gave this as a gift some time ago and do not remember for sure, but I think it is only one strap.

question

one review says the old iPad does not fit.. so does it actually fit the 1st and 2nd generation iPad?? thanks..
Asked by: Elle X.
Yes, it fits well. The back may be a bit too soft to give total protection but one simple hard cover note book behind will prevent bending. I use it with camera /lens/iPadPedro

question

Would I be able to fit a yashica 11 and a Nikon D7000? With 2 smaller lenses?
Asked by: Anonymous
Hi! I think it will all fit... but very tight... perhaps you better buy the other size of this backpack, and have a little more space. Y have a Canon 7D, 1 lens canon 18-200 and a canon 70-200 2.8II (a big one) it all fits but when I travel I also put my wallet, sun glasses... nothing else can get in! hahahaExcellent product especially when it rains, it has a cover that protects it.... Ive been in rainy days in Scotland and England, I was comfortable and my equipment so too.Good luck!

question

The 11 MacBook Air measures 11.8 x 7.6 . Will it fit in the compartment meant for the iPad?
Asked by: Anonymous
Unfortunately, the compartment for the iPad will be slightly too small for the 11 MacBook Air. The compartment is 11 X 8 X 0.5 in.
