Ruggard RC-FC500B Reviews
Works Well
Provides good quality coverage of camera, lens and the business parts of the tripod.
Great Quality!
I haven't had a chance to put it through it's test but from the build quality I'm sure it will pass. The size is large enoughand the fabric seems it will last a long time... I'm happy!
Keep Shooting When The Weather Turns Wet
Had a chance to put this to use shooting an Ultimate Frisbee game and found it to work quite well. Its design seems a little more suited to tripod use, but I found it to work well enough for handheld, too. It just seemed that placing both hands under the cover was not the intended optimal use as the reach down to the lens barrel was a bit confined. Most of my shooting is on a tripod anyway, so I intend to keep this in my bag for general emergency rain scenarios. I really like the eyepiece integration that lets you look directly through the camera eyepiece rather than having to look through a clear plastic layer in the cover. I found the eyepiece did tend to fog up quickly if I kept my eye at the eyepiece continually, but that was more a consequence of the wet weather and would happen with or without the Ruggard cover. I guess I really need to try the rain covers with the arm access sleeves design (e.g. Ruggard DSLR Parka or Think Tank Hydrophobia) to compare designs and render a final opinion, but as an emergency rain cover for unexpected wet weather, this rain cover from Ruggard makes a solid general-purpose solution.
Ruggard Fabric Camera Rain Cover (Black)
Excellent Item: Will buy again!!!
Worth it
This is a lot nicer than what I replaced it with, which while specifically designed as a camera/lens rain cover, was just a cheap clear plastic bag with drawstring. This is very nice and use-able. It comes with a variety pf eyepieces that connect the rain cover to your viewfinder and one of them fits well on my Nikon D5600.
Nice price
Keeps my equipment dry
get the job done
i thought it was thicker than it appears in the pictures, but it works very well.
It works, like it should
Just dry tested so far, looks like it will keep my camera dry.
