The Bower 77mm Digital HD UV Filter is a general use, clear filter that helps to absorb ultraviolet light and reduce the bluish cast of daylight. No additional coloration or contrast is provided, allowing you to pair this filter with others.

The UV filter is also useful as a general protective filter to leave on lenses at all times. Filters help to reduce dust and moisture from reaching your lens element and provide additional protection in case of drops or situations where scratching could occur.

    Bower FUC77 reviews

77mm Digital HD UV Filter is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 35.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good protection Needed 7 new 77mm UV haze filters to protect my lenses. Paying $40 or more per filter was a little steep. Decided to buy 3 of the Bowen filters at a very low cost of under $6 each. These work fine and work well with my 16-35mm and 17-40mm as they do not protrude and cause vignette. Giving this 4 starts because the construction of the rim is light aluminum. I believe this filter to be good for protection from dust, finger prints and scratches however, I don't think the filters will take much banging around.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for the price This is a great cheap filter that I use primarily as a way of protecting my front lens element. I haven't noticed any change in my images, but I didn't buy it primarily for it's UV filtration, and I'm sure you could spend more if that is what you are interested in. 4 stars because it does seem a little light compared to other filters I've owned, which makes me wonder about build quality and durability, but only time will tell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excelent for the price, It doesn't reduce the lens sharpness, and it's an extra protection for the lens glass.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good price, but not the best quality Shot a mud race so these filters protected my lenses and kept them clean, but the quality of the filters is reflected on the price. I notices a reddish tint on my photos. I also notice that I lost a bit of sharpness, and on a quick test at home I did see ghosting when shooting to a light. I will be using these filters when shooting other mud races to protect my lenses from dirt and scratches when cleaning the mud off, but any other events where it requires higher quality photos and not much protection I will definitely use them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Thin: A Plus and a Minus The frame of the filter is very thin/narrow, which means that I can shoot as wide as I like without vignetting but it can be difficult to detach from the lens or from other filters.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Basic Protection Wanted to add to my previous review. My 70-200 lens was in it's soft case and fell onto concrete. The impacted shattered the filter and also bent the light frame of the filter making hard to unscrew. I think that the Bower filter is good for basic protection, dust or mositer but th4e glass is very thin and one knock the the glass will break. Bottom line the Bower is not as durable as the more expensive Hoya, B & W, Canon, Tiffen, get what you pay for.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good for the $. I use it for few days, it's good as canon 77mm uv Filter. I like it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Does the job Only elaborate testing is likely to show any differences ( if any )between this and filters costing many times more. I think of UV's as front element protection and I take them off where appropriate for a shot that might require the very highest quality or freedom from flare. This one does the job. It's predecesor was broken in a short fall, but its presence kept the lens filter threads intact.
