The Bower 52mm Digital HD Circular Polarizer Filter helps to reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light that has become polarized due to reflection from a non-metallic surface. This results in a noticeable increase in the saturation of skies and foliage, as well as clearer imagery when photographing in hazy conditions. A circular polarizer differs from a linear polarizer in that it supports full use of a camera's autofocus and auto exposure functions.

Helps to reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light that has become polarized due to reflection from a non-metallic surface.
Polarizing filters arrange, and filter, directionally polarized light perpendicularly to the reflected light, allowing for the absorption of much of the light.
Clears up haze in distant landscapes and provides more saturated, vivid colors.
Strongest effect when used at a 90° from the sun.

question

I have tried the Bower 95mm UV filter on my Tamron 150-600mm and I can't get the lens cap to fit properly with the filter on. The filter rim is not deep enough. Any recommendations?
Asked by: Anonymous
I suggest using the Op/Tech USA Large Hood Hat, which will stretch to custom fit the Tamron 150-600 with a filter attached: http://bhpho.to/1qUpjke

question

Exactly how much light percent is passed by this filter?
Asked by: Michael F.
Michael, I'm only an amateur photographer, but I'll answer your question to the best of my knowledge--this filter is clear and appears to allow all visible light to pass. Personally, I purchased this filter to protect the lens rather than to filter light. Hope this is helpful.
