The Bower 77mm Digital HD Circular Polarizer Filter helps to reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light that has become polarized due to reflection from a non-metallic surface. This results in a noticeable increase in the saturation of skies and foliage, as well as clearer imagery when photographing in hazy conditions. A circular polarizer differs from a linear polarizer in that it supports full use of a camera's autofocus and auto exposure functions.

This filter is constructed from optical glass and features an aluminum filter ring to provide increased rigidity and durability.

Helps to reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light that has become polarized due to reflection from a non-metallic surface.
Polarizing filters arrange, and filter, directionally polarized light perpendicularly to the reflected light, allowing for the absorption of much of the light.
Clears up haze in distant landscapes and provides more saturated, vivid colors.
Strongest effect when used at a 90° from the sun.

77mm Digital HD Circular Polarizer Filter is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Polarizer, even better for the price When using a circular polarizers try turning the adjustment ring clockwise and only counter clockwise for minor adjustments, reason? You'll unscrew it and it will fall off at the most inopportune moment. Also if your not getting what you expect, put the sun at a 90 degree angle from the lens, (keep the sun on your left or right). It is very clear and smooth, I'm not seeing any differences in shades across the diameter of the glass. It fits very snug onto my bower UV filter, in fact so tight I had a hard time removing it but I found a fix and have tried it several times. If you find that you can't remove it just start rotating the adjustment ring in counter clockwise and it will just start unscrewing, you may have to turn it several times but it seems always work without any effort. They work great around water and to get those nice blues out of the sky and will reduce the amount of light entering the lens allowing a wider aperture for effect, especially on bright sunny days.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Filter stuck on lens I screwed this on to my Sigma 17-55mm f2.8 and it got stuck, was unable to remove it. I had to put the filter, gingerly, into a bench vise in order to remove it. I cleaned the threads, applied a very small dab of light oil, and screwed it back on the lens. Again, I was unable to remove it. I have had many other filters on this lens but never encountered this issue before.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Filter/Great Price Upon receiving the filter in the mail, I immediately placed on my lens. I had been shooting a number of outdoor scenes in Central Texas with the blasting sunlight at all times of the day and getting a bit of wash out and over exaggerated colors. This filter helped tone down and highlight. Now fluorescent pink soccer jerseys aren't so deafening.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great took the glass out to use it purely to turn the variable ND filter and adjust the haze that comes with it... so not really using it as intended but if you are using variable ND you should get this to help you clean up the image from the brown haze, not a huge issue if shooting RAW or ProRes but for compressed recording it is a must

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great filter for price great filter for the price of it i stack it on a UV filter that i leave on my canon 70-200 with IS ii. I mainly use it for portrait and landscape photos just like the description says its a little over a 1 stop filter screw on nice and easy. Doesn't affect my auto focusing because its a circular polarizer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for the price I have had some trouble screwing this filter onto my lens and taking it off. I have used it on my Rokinon 24mm Cine Lens and my Tokina 11-16mm and I love the footage I'm getting outside. This filter is perfect for filtering out harsh skies.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Thin: A Plus and a Minus The frame of the filter is very thin/narrow, which means that I can shoot as wide as I like without vignetting but it can be difficult to detach from the lens or from other filters.
