Korg CM-200 overview

  • 1Description

Giving you the ability to tune accurately in the midst of even the loudest orchestras, the black and red CM-200 Clip-On Contact Microphone from Korg has a sensitive piezo pickup which directly captures the vibrations of trumpets, trombones, saxophones, violins, guitars, and more. Through its 1/4" connector cable, the CM-200 sends vibrations to your Korg tuner, providing the tuner with a precise picture of your instrument's intonation.

The CM-200's clip can open 7mm wider than earlier versions of this product, providing a 1.2" (30mm) opening, and therefore, more space to attach the mic to your instrument. The rubber interior of the clip has also been reconfigured to offer a more secure fit for a variety of instrument surfaces. The CM-200 is built with a durable and flexible cable connection to the microphone, minimizing the possibility of breakage.

    Korg CM-200 reviews

    Korg CM-200 Clip-On Contact Microphone (Black/Red) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for band and orchestral tuning As an oboist I am daily tuning orchestras and bands. I use a Korg OT-120 for tuning but this tuner is so sensitive and picks up everything around me it makes it about impossible to read my sound when there is more then three people playing. Even if I get this right next to my instrument it still can't read my sound. Sence this contact microphone only reads vibrations it no longer matters what is going on around me, it will just read my picth. This is a great product to have for tuning in noisy environments. Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from CUT YOUR IMAGINATION LOOSE If you're into sampling creative percussion sounds, this well made little gizmo will be the best fifteen bucks you'll ever spend. Duct taped to a Fosters beercan and run through a wah, echo, and Mooger Fooger. It's a whole new drumkit. No limit to the silly ways you can get interesting sounds onstage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really improved I use this product as a pickup sound device that connects to a tuner. I use this to tune my violin when there is a lot of sound in the orchestra so much so that you can't hear to tune. The attachment that I had before had a thin connecting cord that looked like it could crimp (and it did at times) and a clamp that attached to the bridge of the violin that moved easily. This new connect has a substantial cord that won't crimp easily and a clamp that grips well. I am glad that I made the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does exactly what it should I use the clip on microphone to tune my harp. I play in a harp ensemble and it can be hard to tune a harp when everyone else is also trying to tune. With the clip on microphone, the tuner picks up the sound easily and I can tune without having to play so loudly that I interfere with others doing the same thing. It's intuitive to use - clip, plug in, and it's ready. I do have to move it up nearer the higher pitched strings to pick up their sound.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful Microphone Really good thing that fits not only for wind instruments, but also for strings instruments. I have even checked it with my accoustic guitar and it worked perfect!! It is wonderful microphone for native instruments like Lithuanian Kankles, Mbira, Birbyne and so on.
