This is the T ring you will need for your camera B&H # CETRCAF. The Vanguard PA-202 Digiscoping Adapter goes on the scope B&H # VAPA202.

question

What's the thumb screw for? I plan to use this with my scope attached to a Vello T mount-to-E mount.
Asked by: Dan L.
The PA-202 has a 58 mm outside threaded mount. I had to add a 58 - 52 mm adapter to fit my camera lens filter mount. Since you do not know what angle the camera will be at when the screws bottom out, the 58 mm mount is part of a rotating sleeve. Screw the PA-202 onto the scope until the threads bottom out and then screw the camera with a 52 mm filter size onto the PA-202 until it bottoms out. If the filter size of your lens is not 58 mm you must fit an adapter which in my case of the 58 -52 mm adapter. Your camera will then probably be at some weird angle. Loosen the thumb screw and the sleeve will rotate until your camera is either in the landscape or portrait position and tighten the thumb screw. You are ready to go to work.

question

Will this work on a Vortex Diamondback 20-60x80?
Asked by: Jeffrey
I do not have a Vortex scope to test it on. However on the Vanguard scopes, there is a shroud that sticks out from the bayonet mount for the eyepiece about .325 inches. This shroud is threaded on the outside. I have no idea what the pitch of these threads are, however I measured the inside diameter (non-threaded) at 2.250 inches and the outside at 2.235 inches (threaded). Since the outside was threaded, I was measuring the diameter from the peak of the threads on both sides. The PA-202 screws over the outside of this shroud. I measured the outside of the PA-202 to be 2.375 inches (non-threaded) and the inside at 2.210 inches (threaded). Again the inside diameter is measured from peak to peak of the inside threads. If the Vortex scope does not have this shroud it will not work. If it does have this shroud, threaded on the outside, it may work if the threads match. Again, I have no idea what the pitch on these threads is. Hope this is at least a little help.

question

Will this work with my Nikon 1 J1 camera?
Asked by: Gary M.
Hi GaryI tried it with my Nikon D600 + 28-300 zoom lens (my only lens) and no good. Image only visible centrally in the frame and poor quality. I suspect it needs a specific lens. Have yet to question B&H about it.Tim
