The Floating Wrist Strap from Olympus is white with blue stripes and made to keep your waterproof point and shoot camera afloat and easy to find in the water. The colored strap is easy to see in pools, lakes or oceans. It provides surfers, kayakers and other active swimmers with the ability to strap the camera to their arm, freeing their hands when not taking photos.

To attach the strap to the side of your camera, detach the end loop clip, thread it through the camera lug and re-attach the clip to the strap. Compatible with any point and shoot underwater camera with a side lug.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Olympus got the highest score I purchased 3 floating camera straps - the Vivatar, the Olympus and the Chums -since they were all pretty inexpensive and they all seemed to have good reviews and bad reviews. After trying out all 3 I decided the Olympus will go with me on my next snorkeling adventure with my new Nikon Coolpix AW100 (which I absolutely love but that's for another review). Here are my observations on all three straps. I ordered all 3 in yellow the Vivatar was a kind of dingy orangish yellow while the other two were a bright yellow which I felt would be easier to spot so score 1 for Olympus and Chums. The Vivatar and Olympus both were easy to dry off while the Chums is made of a kind of spongy material which doesn't dry off right away so score one for Vivatar and Olympus. The Olympus and Chums fit my wrist very nicely where as I wasn't quite sure how to attach the Vivatar to my person. I thought the Olympus when it was cinched up fit my wrist especially well so score two for Olympus and one for Chums. A side note here I have an average man's size hands whereas my wife has long slender hands. The Olympus slid right off of her hand even when it was cinched up so the Chums might actually work better for her. The Olympus and the Chums both seemed more buoyant than the Vivatar. The Vivatar failed the bathtub test filling my bathtub to the top and dropping the strap into the water attached to the Nikon (it's a Jacuzzi tub so it's fairly deep). The Nikon was actually resting on the bottom of the tub with the Vivatar whereas it was not touching with the other two straps. The Vivatar was holding up one end of the camera so I suspect in deeper waters it would keep the camera floating but I don't know that for sure. Score one apiece for the Olympus and the Chums. One final observation and this one is a little subjective. The Olympus just seemed better constructed with more durable parts and connections than the other two. Score one point for Olympus. Final score => Vivatar 1 point, Olympus 6 points, Chums 3 points. Hope this is helpful.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from You'll need a big wrist Great idea. My son purchased a waterproof Nikon Nikonos. He's very excited to try and get some in the water surfing photos up here on the coast of Maine. Worried about keeping a grip on his camera. This looked like a good solution. Price seemed good. When we got it, there was no way to cinch the wrist band around a his wrist. He's not a small kid, being a 5'11 high school student. The band slips right off his wrist. I'm 6'3, and it is loose around my writ. I would be concerned that it could slide off my wrist if I was't paying attention. My other concern is how thin the line is that actually ties to the camera. It is probably stronger than it looks, but it is a concern.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product Used this strap during a Grand Canyon rafting trip. I was originally reluctant to purchase because of the bulkiness of the floatation. However I knew this feature was a priority so bought the product regardless. I appreciate that you have the option to detach the floatation component when not needed. The floatation proved to support the weight of the camera but does not hinder your ability to use the camera under water. Pleased w/ this product and would highly recommend. Worth the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Floating Wrist Strap (Orange) by Olympus I took this floating wrist strap on my new Olympus Tough on a 2 week small ship trip, and found it comfortable and useful. I could take the camera outside on slippery decks and feel secure I would not loose the camera. The bright orange helped me find the camera as I tend to leave things lying around. The floating nature of the strap is useful around water. I am now taking it along on a canoe trip in the Philippine Islands. A useful travel item.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Further security for Olympus Stylus This strap is most useful for a comfortable way to keep your camera with you while participating in certain water sports. I kept it strapped to my arm while snorkeling and just slid it down a bit when I was ready to take photos or video. It doesn't absolutely keep the camera floating on top of the water, but if someone accidentally dropped it, it gives you time to rescue it. I didn't test it truly, for fear of not being able to get it back. My arm is really small so the strap only stays put on my arm if I put it all the way up on my bicep, but for others it should fit comfortably on their wrist. The bright color is great, both in the water and just in general. I sure don't have trouble finding my camera while it's in my bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You can't go wrong with this one!!! We were about to embark on a cruise, so I wanted to get a floating strap for our waterproof camera. Man o man!!! This thing was great! We tested it onboard the ship's pool first, but soon took it into the bays we ported at and it was just the handiest little accessory I've purchased in a long time! it kept float great, we would throw the camera at each other while snorkeling and couldn't imagine not having this strap! Fit nicely around our wrists and even made it easier to find in the room as the color is nice and bright! Definitely recommended for all!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Liked the lifejacket for my camera I bought this as a safeguard for my Olympus TG-4 and am glad to have it. I could tell from reviews that it would be too big for my small wrist, but I still like having it as a lifejacket for my TG-4. I wore the camera on my neck in the water, and had the strap on it as well - just hanging there. The strap can be hooked onto the camera, and then the big part can go off and on with a clasp. So the little piece at the end (the gray loop) can live on the camera, and the floater can go on and off as needed. I liked the security of having it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Whatever floats your boat Bought my wife a fairly expensive all season underwater camera. Didn't thing of needing a float strap but after almost losing the camera we realized bad things could happen as we passed the camera back and forth. A simple product. It floats. As simple as that. More than enough bouncy to support the weigh of the camera. Bright red matches the camera so wive loves it.
