Dot Line DL-0130/S overview

  • 1Description

The Dot Line IR Flash Trigger Hot Shoe Adapter for Sony/Minolta Shoe with "A" style shoe is actually 2 products in one. It's got a cold shoe that slips into a standard metal shoe (like one that you'd find on a camera bracket) with a female PC connection on the side that uses an optional cord from the shoe to the camera's PC outlet to fire your flash. Alternatively, a 1/4"-20 tap on the bottom of the shoe allows you to mount it to a light stand or other support. The IR sensor in this unit will recognize a flash built into a typical DSLR up to 70 feet away and trigger the flash that is connected to the shoe.

    Dot Line DL-0130/S reviews

IR Flash Trigger Hot Shoe Adapter for Sony/Minolta Shoe is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Meets expectations, but can be better! I am using this to trigger my Sony flashes (F43AM and F60M). It works fine and does what it supposed to do. My Sony flashes fit well on the hot shoe and they do not shake! I can say the IR receiver is not very sensitive so needs to be directly facing the flash to trigger. The PC sync port helps actually to overcome the IR sensitivity issue to be able to trigger without having the main flash facing directly the IR receiver, if required in your lighting setup. The cold shoe doesn't have any locking nut to secure properly, it just slides into other cold shoe but does not lock.
