The gray equIP Series H4D2F1 Rugged Indoor/Outdoor H.264 True Day/Night Minidome Camera from Honeywell is a fixed, IP network camera equipped with a 3 to 9mm Motorized Focus and Zoom (MFZ) lens. This compact and vandal-resistant camera captures crisp images at minimal bandwidth and offers 720p resolution at full frame rate.
Its Progressive Scan technology and 2D edge enhancement provide high level of clarity and definition. DNR (Digital Noise Reduction) results in significant storage savings without sacrificing image quality in low light. Equipped with digital video surveillance technology, the camera’s 1/2.7" Progressive Scan CMOS sensor allows for accurate color rendition in a wide variety of lighting conditions.
The camera and lens are integrated in a compact, single-piece tamper-proof unit for fast and easy installation in any application. The camera is designed to be surface mounted. Wall and pendant mount kits are also available (sold separately).
In addition to the low-light color performance, the camera automatically switches to the B&W mode. In this mode, infrared light is used for discreet/covert low-light surveillance for capturing high-quality monochrome images.
A 3D-axis gimbal capable of 360° pan, 180° tilt, and 360° horizontal rotation simplifies mechanical camera adjustment. The MFZ lens allows the field of view to be adjusted to suit the scene requirements. A powerful and intuitive Web client application allows fine tuning of the camera and auto iris levels. This can also be performed from most DVR/NVR setup utilities. The camera also supports the ONVIF specification for interoperability between network video products.
This camera supports dual video streams and multiple compression formats with frame rates up to 30 fps (25 fps for PAL systems). Compression parameters for the two video streams are independently configurable. The primary stream is dedicated to H.264. The secondary stream can be configured for H.264 or MJPEG. This camera features analog video out for aiming and focusing during setup.
With built-in low current Power over Ethernet (PoE, IEEE 802.3af), power is supplied to the camera using standard network cabling, eliminating the need for a separate power supply and associated wiring. In situations where PoE support is not available, the unit can also be powered directly from a 24VAC power supply (sold separately).
This network camera uses Honeywell technology for video motion detection, tamper detection, remote firmware updating, and secure storage of all camera settings. Video motion detection recognizes object motion within the field of view; then a simple on-screen notification alerts the user. Camera tamper detection notifies the user when a camera’s field of view is altered, blinded, or blurred. This ensures video integrity and alerts the customer to either a live event or a system problem that is causing disruption to the video stream.
Honeywell technology also allows users to remotely upload firmware to the camera. Setup is quick and easy, and can be customized through a Web client application or from an NVR (sold separately). The built-in Web server provides password-protected access to the camera’s video and network setup.
The H4D2F1 Minidome Camera is suitable for installations where superior picture clarity at minimal bandwidth is required. This camera can be retrofitted on many existing DVR/NVR installations without requiring additional storage. Its discreet, vandal-resistant, outdoor design provides maximum protection against dust, dirt, and water, allowing the camera to deliver optimum performance for both indoor and outdoor applications.
