    Ruggard FPB-144B reviews

Four Pocket Filter Pouch (Up to 82mm) is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 240.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Glad it was cheap I use this product to hold three 77mm Filters. I like the idea of this unit and will find a better one. It is really compact when stowed away, and it does function. This thing can barely accommodate 77mm filters. It just barely closes with its velcro as is, couldn't imagine any larger filters in it. I knew it was a cheap unit when I purchased it. I purchased it on a whim. The three filters in this case cost me nearly $$$, it would have been wiser to buy a better pouch. I use the foam inserts that came with the filters to pad the filters better than the pouch provides. The filters can also get scratched in here, which you can easily see by looking at the photo and thinking about its intended use for a second. I can't complain too much because I didn't scrutinize it prior to purchase, it does hold filters, and it cost very little money. I recommend putting the few dollars spent on this pouch towards a higher quality pouch that protects the filters better. Im sure it exists.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Good Item ... A Little Small I bought this to carry my most essential filters, specifically for a couple of 49 mm diameter prime lenses. It works well for that, though it would work better if there was a half inch more height at the fold. The velcro closure does not meet up all the way when the pouch is closed. Before buying, make sure it will fit your filters. For example, it would be really tight with four square Cokin filters in their plastic cases. It will not fit the large Cokin filter cases. The padding and overall construction is excellent and looks durable. It fits very well into my Tenba camera bag. It has very nice net pouches.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Flimsy and poorly designed... Well the maxim that you get what you pay for continues to be true. This filter case is not very sturdy and is not even lined with something soft to protect the surface of the filters (just nylon and an abrasive feeling mesh). I would not trust it to protect even a filter of moderate value. Waste of money in my opinion. I checked not durable in my review. In the interest of full disclosure I want to be clear that this is an opinion based on my overall impression of how cheaply it appears to be made and how unsuitable it seems for the purpose it is supposed to serve.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ruggard's Description Innacurate Ruggard pitches this pouch as holding four filters inside four mesh slip pockets. It closes with a bit of difficulty with four 77mm filters. With two 77mm in the top pockets and two 82mm filters in the bottom pockets, it closes with much difficulty. Ruggard is correct in stating The top two pockets fit up to a 77mm filter, and the bottom two pockets fit up to an 82mm filter. This is correct, except that the pouch closes with difficulty.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from UNUSABLE If you put filters in the top two slots, there is no way to fully close the velcro. Even using just the bottom slots, same problem. To get any velcro to properly mesh, you really have to tug and stretch. An inch or two of additional material would totally have solved this problem. Thicker filters will also be a problem. Can't comment on the level of protection as I was never able to use it, so I tossed it as it simply wasn't worth the cost of return mail. Also, it does not have a belt loop on the back, which is important for me. Could have been a useful item - but goodwill got it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Flimsy Filter Pouch This is NOT a pouch to carry your expensive filters: 1) small pockets (width) for a 77mm filter, will fit by pressuring in; 2) thin /flimsy material; 3) poor construction; 4) no inside padding. I bought this to carry my variable ND Schneider ($396) and as well as the variable ND Syngh-Ray ($400) 77mm filters, in addition to several UV Heliopan 77mm filters. There is no way I will use this pouch to carry my filters... I gave it to the dog to play with... CANNOT Recommend for expensive 77mm filters; for smaller size very low cost filters - perhaps.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not very protective I had a whole slew of lens protector/filter cases running around in my camera bag so this seemed like a great idea to consolidate. However, it wasn't very well made. I use expensive filters and would not trust putting them into this pouch. It's not closed up so dust can easily enter, and the lenses aren't really protected. I am going to stick with my multiple plastic cases which actually protect the lens. If someone wasn't really particular about their filters this could work, although I would keep it within a ziplock bag to keep out dust.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for saving space! I absolutely am in love with this filter pouch. After so many years of keeping filters in their original plastic cases in my bag, I finally came to my senses and got this filter pouch. Filters usually come in plastic protective cases, while serving that purpose of protecting the filters, they take a lot of space inside my camera bag. After buying this pouch I could fit all the filters I have that I'm not using and managed to save a lot of space. The pouch is very well made, secure and closes with a nice Velcro strap. If you own more than two filters, this pouch is for you.
