QR Dovetail Sliding Baseplate is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's Arca-Swiss compatible Does exactly what you'd expect. The description (here and on Zacuto's site) doesn't include the magic phrase Arca-Swiss compatible, for reasons known only to them. But it is. So if you're in circumstances where you need to be able to drop a Zacuto tripod base onto an Arca-Swiss compatible clamp -- you can use this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Interchangeable, sporty, but lacks cheese I bought this plate with the plan of using it with a Kessler Crane Kwik Release receiver (B&H # KEMG1001 MFR # MG1001), having seen in a Zacuto video that Zacuto's sporty red plate does actually click into the Kessler receiver. I received both products, and, yes, in fact, they work fine together. Why did I choose to mix and match brands? Because I hope to get a Zacuto QR shoulder pad (which the Zacuto plate is designed to go with) AND because the Kessler receiver is significantly less expensive than the Zacuto -- which is important to me because I will eventually want at least three receiver plates to switch quickly between shoulder, tripod, slider, and jib mounts. What I'm using now for that multiplatform switching is three Giottos MH621 receiver + plate combinations, and that's just because they are a LOT cheaper than the Kessler / Zacuto options. However, I am trying to get away from the slide-in designs used by Giottos and Manfrotto in favor of the dovetail design that can be tilted in and out of place easily and which locks down with the extremely positive hold offered by systems like Sachtler and Kessler. For my next budget cycle I will be requesting two more Kessler receivers. Will I get another Zacuto QR plate? Possibly, but I suspect that the Kessler QR plates will be more versatile because they have various threaded holes in them (cheese plate style), whereas the Zacuto plate I'm reviewing here does not. However, the Zacuto has that flashy/sporty red color going for it, if you're into that sort of thing. (I suppose it could help one see the plate in dim lighting against the black of the camera and receiver when trying to reholster the camera onto the mount.) 4 stars: Very useful; great that it doesn't only work with Zacuto products; but minus one star because of its lack of cheese!
