Until it broke, I loved this product! I only had it for 1.5 yrs which isn't long enough considering I'm not hard on my equipment

Not strong enough.

This boom is quite flimsy. I used it with a B1 and a 4'octa and it cracked in half at 3/4 extension, nearly injuring our subject. I would not recommend using this boom extended at all if using mono heads.

When you need to be fast.

Great way to quickly add beautiful overhead light while doing multiple locations in little time. The shoulder strap with hip anchor helps your assistants still like you.

SO much better than a monopod as a holder

I got this pole because the only piece of equipment I had for getting lighting up and over a subject was a monopod...ugh, it's heavy and top-heavy. This handle/pole is light but extremely sturdy, and the holder is such a big help, makes everything so secure and easy to control, even when the pole is fully extended and topped with flash, umbrella, etc. I made a fleece bag that will be easy to find amid all the black gear-bags too...because I like bags for my gear, keeps it from getting beat up. The plastic cover it was shipped in stays in the bag to give it shape and as extra protection for the handle and holder.

Not for heavy heads

You "Guys" should've known better than to use this with the B1 Profoto ...its just not designed that way; but it's perfect for the B2 just the "FACT" the B2 is way lighter // ..Basically to survive in this business its best to use common sense

Not reliable

After 4 months of use, it just cracked in half dropping my ProFoto flash unit to the ground and destroying it. NOT reliable at all!!! I can not work with an equipment that I can’t rely on, specially when it’s holding a 2.000,00 flash unit.

Awesome piece of gear!
