question

Is this made up of one (78x78 ) and two (42x78 ) Lastolite rapid frames?
Asked by: Xavion T.
According to Lastolite, while the frames are similar in design to the Lastolite Skylite frames, they are not the same frames. The frame in the Lastolite Panoramic Background is larger than the Skylite frame as it is 89 inches (7 feet 5 inches) tall.

question

Can you light it from behind? OR how easy is it to light vs traditional seamless paper? Spill?
Asked by: Rodolfo Jr T.
I contacted Lastolite with your inquiry. The manufacturer states that the Lastolite Panoramic Background (13', White) is not opaque, so light will pass through it. However, the construction of the fabric would prevent it from working like a diffuser such as the HiLite. The weave is tight and dense, so while some light would get through, it would not transmit a lot of light and it would most likely result in a hot spot rather than spreading and distributing the light across the surface like diffuser fabric would.

question

Is this panoramic set made of 1 large and 2 medium Lastolite frames? I want to buy it so I can use it as panoramic or as 6.6 background with two 3.6 reflectors/diffusers. Will that be possible?
Asked by: Xavion T.
No, that would not be possible. The frame included with the Lastolite Panoramic Background is a connected collapsible aluminum frame that has an elastic cord inside the framework's tubing. The tubes cannot be separated to use as a smaller background and separate reflectors. It is only designed for use as the 13-foot panoramic background.
