Product worked great converting my Ikelite DS Substrobe to fiber optic. I was initially worried that I'd have to buy a new strobe or that the conversion wouldn't be effect. Instead, this cable worked like a charm with my Sony RX-100 housing. Highly recommended.

Need connector smaller diameter than sea&sea for Sea Life 961 flash unavailable.Same style - any possibilities?
Asked by: Ed M.
The Ikelite Coiled Fiber Optic Cable is not compatible with the SeaLife SL961. For this strobe you need the SeaLife Flash Link Optical Cable. This cable is compatible with Sealife camera/ housings. If you have a different housing you will also need the SeaLife Universal Flash Link Adapter.

Considering downsizing from Canon 5D MKIV to G7xIII in Ikelite housing. Will my DS51's hook up to, and function with, the new camera and housing using the Ikelite Optic Cable?
Asked by: Bill
To use the Ikelite DS-51 strobe with the Ikelite Underwater Housing for PowerShot G7 X Mark III camera you need two items. You need the Ikelite Coiled Fiber Optic Cable for Housings with Sea&Sea/Olympus Type Connection and the Ikelite 4401.3 Fiber Optic Converter. The converter plugs into the strobe instead on the sync cord. Here is the link: https://bhpho.to/38GOi4R The converter does not support TTL auto exposure. You will have to shoot manually.

question

I have an old fantasea Nano and got an Olympus TG-2 with PT-053 Housing. I have no cable or connectors, but both the housing and the Nano seem to have similar sized female fiber optic sockets. What do I need, and what is the best way to use them together? I see several possible choices in cable and connector, but what is best and/or economical? Please answer in detail as to all parts and necessary modification or fitting. Thank you.
Asked by: tony t.
Both the Fantasea Line Cool Flash Nano and the Olympus PT-053 Housing have Sea & Sea style fiber optic cable connections. So this Ikelite Coiled Fiber Optic Cable can be used to connect the housing to the flash. No other parts are needed.
