Horrible product. I cannot move the ballhead. I cannot even move the screw for tightening the stuff that is attached. I am not sure if I can return this product, but if I can, I will return it. Unusable.

i like it, wish it had a vertical notch

I guess it's my fault that I didn't notice this didn't NOT have a vertical notch like other Manfrotto table top tripods i've had in the past. This tripod works by pressing in the red button, and moving the kinda stiff, not very smooth, ball around, but once you let go, it's VERY SOLID! Overall, it feels decent. I'd recommend to people who don't need a vertical notch. I'm not sure I need one, but i'd like to have the option.

I purchased this to replace a bit larger, heavier tripod I was using with my phone. This tripod works perfectly with a Joby Griptight One tripod Mount for smartphones. It fits well in my small backpack/I don't even know it's there.

Perfect for on-the-go podcast set up

Lightweight, durable, stable. I use this tripod with my MV7 Shure podcasting mic and absolutely love it. The folks at B&H recommended it with a specific thread attachment and it works like a charm. I recommend it for folks who want a portable mic setup and / or a quick video camera tripod that can be used as a great vlog mount if you collapse the legs.

Discrepancy over load capacity in description

The description on the product details page says it supports 2.2lbs but when I get the product, the instruction booklet says it supports up to 1.4lbs. I had specifically checked that my camera + lens (1.74lbs) would be ok. Have to return it now.

These are quite handy to have around. And they are very well built so I don't have to worry about them breaking.

Is there any provision for the legs to individually lock into an intermediate position, or do they all just extend to the fully extended position?
    Asked by: Nick
No intermediate lock positions BUT I just tried mounting my iPhone SE2 using the Manfrotto phone holder device on the tripod with the legs set at various intermediate positions and it worked just fine. This was inside of course, so not subject to the whims of Nature AND using a stable platform. If you're looking to use this under studio conditions, I would think it would work satisfactorily for you.

Can it go underwater? If so, what's the depth?
    Asked by: יוחאי
It can go underwater. The only limit would be based on how deep your camera can go underwater. We don't recommend this to go in the water because the metal parts could rust.

Collapsed the height is under 8 inches. It's very small but sturdy. Not sure what the laws are in the airport but this will easily fit in a carryon bag. Hope that helps.
