The gray MGE U-Talk/Basic Acquisition Card from APC enables management of UPS by connecting it directly to the network. The card is an optional part of the multi-slot module. It acts as an interface between the I2C bus of the multi-slot module and the supervised UPS. By using the proprietary protocol (U-Talk) it acquires measurements, status information and alarms from the UPS and transmits the data to the I2C bus of the multi-slot module.
The U-talk card continuously checks the UPS status to verify the current condition.
You could install the card in any of the 4 slots in the multi-slot module.
The DB9 J3 connector on the acquisition card may be used for connection and connector J4 is reserved for future applications.
