FUJIFILM XF 27mm f/2.8 Lens (Silver)
Key Features
  • X-Mount Lens/APS-C Format
  • 41mm (35mm Equivalent)
  • Aperture Range: f/2.8 to f/16
  • One Aspherical Element
Featuring an especially slim, pancake design, the silver XF 27mm f/2.8 from FUJIFILM is a versatile 41mm-equivalent prime that is ideal for travel and everyday shooting. Its f/2.8 maximum aperture helps to realize its slim stature, and also suits working in difficult lighting conditions and offers control over depth of field for working with selective focus techniques. One aspherical element has been incorporated in the optical design, and helps to reduce distortion and spherical aberrations, and a Super EBC coating has also been applied to control flare and ghosting. Additionally, benefitting both photo and video applications, a high-torque DC coreless motor is used to realize quick, accurate, and near-silent autofocus performance.

Just to confirm, when mounted on an X-Pro 2 camera, can one operate the combo in Aperture priority mode? i.e., select aperture and allow camera to select shutter speed?
Asked by: Dennis
Yes. I use this lens on my Fujifilm X-E3 in aperture priority mode. Aperture is set using the thumb wheel on the back of the X-E3.

When focusing of subject at 10ft using this 27mm lens, the focus distance indicator is always farther than 10ft. It's never accurate for any distance. I have tried on XT2 and XPRO2 with 2 copies of this lens. Does anyone have this issue or could reproduce it ?By the way with the 50mm f2 lens, distance indicator is accurate on XT2.

I used this lens with an X-T1 for a while. It was my go-to kit for street and cityscapes. The images were sharp edge to edge and the glass is fairly fast in low light. What more do you need? I highly recommend you quit screwing with your distance indicator and go out and make some pictures!

Is this lens compatible with the xt20?
Asked by: Alec H.
It is compatible with XT-20. As others have said, it's a good lens, but the focusing isn't as fast as others in the XF series line up. It does make for compact package with the XT-10 or XT-20.

Is there an Auto Aperture mode by using the rear wheel on the camera?
Asked by: Robert C.
Yes, using the Command wheel on the rear of the camera will cycle through the various f stops in A aperture mode or, at the end of the wheel cycle, remain in P automatic mode.
