    Pelican S115 Reviews

S115 Sport Elite Laptop & Camera Backpack is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 34.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Travel Pack Using while traveling with a MacBook Pro 15.4, power cable, earbuds, iPhone charger, Canon 5DS, Canon 17-40, Canon 24-105, Canon 100 macro, Sigma 50, Sigma 70-200, 2x Canon Speedlite 600s, Speedlite transmitter, 3 Canon batteries, charger, memory card wallet, portable USB drive. Main zipper is super tough and very reliable. Everything fit in the pack snug (a little too), would have been nice if the side pockets had more stretch, but the pack fit under the airline seat in front of me on multiple planes. Very pleased and would recommend this to those concerned with protecting their gear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Have had this for 3 years Used it to cart a full kit of pxw-x70, sennheiser wireless lavs, a shotgun, a handheld mic, 20 ft of xlr cable plus 3 batteries, manuals, little things, and power cables.? I've also reconfigured to carry a light plus the camera and it works great also. On the "other" side, the one you can't see , you can pack a lighter light stand. I keep memory in the top pocket in this image and keep the bottom one for incidentals.? It always distributes weight evenly. There's a waist strap in addition to the chest strap.? Use it professionally, trusted my career and reputation to carry my gear in this. Buy with confidence. Worth every penny I thought.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not a bad bag, just not deep enough This is a very well built bag, padding and protection can not be faulted. However if you have a pro series camera, or camera with battery pack attached you will not be able to fit in this bag. I have 2 1dx's and they don't come close to fitting (upright, sideways or flat it doesn't matter they will not fit. This would be close to a perfect backpack if you did not use pro dslrs or battery packs, unfortunately i do , so it unusable.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Inpractical and heavy. Not comfortable to carry. I am a thin person and it was not comfortable to carry at all. The pads of the straps really hurt. They sacrificed ergonomy for sturdiness. I have to say the compartment for the laptop is good in terms of protection but makes the whole thing too rigid and heavy. Perhaps for big persons it could work.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Would be perfect if it had wheels! This is a great bag. It easily holds a couple of (small) cameras, several lenses, pockets for filters, extra memory cards, and a tripod snaps on to the outside. The bag itself is kind of weighty though, and with the addition of equipment can be cumbersome. After a couple of long days of dragging this stuff around I found myself desparately wishing I had wheels...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Protects expensive laptop This is more of a soft-sided backpack with an indestructible laptop compartment on the back. This is not a hard case with shoulder straps. I like it because it protects a $3k Macbook Pro like no other backpack can. The main compartment is smaller than you think, so you have to organize wisely with dividers, The sides are soft fyi, so a hit to the side would damage gear inside. One plus is that is TSA approved to fit under the seat of the plane. So you can bring a carry on plus this bag. Hurts my back to carry it, I put all of my gear into a bigger camera bag, and only bring this if I need to bring my laptop. My dslr, 3 lenses, audio gear, barely fit compared to a slightly deeper bag, deeper when on its back. I like it because My laptop is safe, but I hate it because it is not comfortable and lack space in main compartment. Namaste.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rock Solid Yes it's heavy, but my gear is safe and sound. I have a 1D MKIII, 70-200mm f/2.8, 24-70mm f/2.8, 135mm f/2, 85mm f/1.8 all tucked away safely. Plus my Sekonic 358, a Digital Calibration Target and my X-Rite Passport plus all my CF cards fit so that I can reach any or all of them easily. If that's not enough, it has places for sensor cleaners, batteries, cables and all the other goodies needed for peace of mind on location, AND, I can tuck my Mac into a safe compartment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from One tough photo backpack This backpack is super strong, and provides outstanding protection for your expensive camera and gear. I have loaded mine with 3 mirrorless camera bodies, several lenses, and most of the necessary accessories for travel and other photo shoots.

Would a Sony nx3 fit? Does it come in pluckfoam?
    Asked by: Andrew G.
This item, The Pelican S115 Sport Elite Laptop & Camera Backpack B&H # PES115B MFR # 0S1150-0003-110, does not come in a Pick & Pluck foam version. A Sony HXR-NX3 NXCAM Professional Handheld Camcorder would fit inside.

Are there any strings attached to the 1 year warranty? The plastic rod that the shoulder strap wraps around busted off. Thus, it does not fit properly on my shoulders.
    Asked by: Kim R.
Please contact Pelican directly for warranty issues.

You think this can fit a dynalite baja4 just one? And camera and how many lenses
    Asked by: Karina M.
Yes, the Dynalite Baja B4 Battery-Powered Monolight would fit inside the Pelican S115 Sport Elite Laptop & Camera Backpack. However, using the Dynalite Baja B4 Battery-Powered Monolight inside the backpack would not leave much room for other camera equipment. Only one monolight will fit in this backpack.

Anyone know if this would fit a Razer Blade Pro? Need to find a rugged backpack to tour with and this seems the best one so far...
    Asked by: Anonymous
The lab top case is pretty large so I would guess it would fit. I've got a 15 inch Yoga and have plenty of room to spare.
