The Toshiba 32GB Excite Write 10.1" Tablet features the user-friendly Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system and a 10.1" capacitive 10-finger multi-touch display with 2560 x 1600 HD resolution, LED backlight and a 178° viewing angle. The tablet's 16:10 widescreen aspect ratio ensures your movies and video will be viewed as the director intended with no altering or cropping to fit the screen. Plus, the internal 2GB of RAM and NVIDIA Tegra 4 quad-core mobile processor keep your work flowing. The 32GB of flash storage capacity provides room for your audio, photo and video files, but if you need more storage space, the microSD card slot affords plenty of memory expansion.
The Excite Write supports wireless connectivity via 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. You can access the Internet from your home wireless network or from any Wi-Fi hot-spot. Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity affords wireless device connection for a keyboard, a mouse or a Bluetooth speaker. Other connection options include a micro-USB 2.0 port, a 3.5 mm stereo headphone/microphone combo jack and a micro-HDMI output for viewing video content on an HDTV in uncompressed, full HD 1080p resolution. There is also a front 1.2MP camera, a dual mic array and a rear-facing 8MP camera with an LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and image stabilization technology.
The Excite Write is also outfitted with Harman-Kardon stereo speakers, DTS Premium Voice Pro technology, Toshiba Audio Enhancement Pro and Toshiba Audio Source Filtering. The tablet also features Toshiba's TruPen specially coated digitizer display, which allows you to draw and take notes directly on the touchscreen using the included TruPen stylus. It supports 1000 levels of pressure sensitivity and works with Toshiba's TruNote app. The Excite Write is equipped with multiple sensors as well, including a digital compass, built-in GPS, a gyroscope, a 3-axis accelerometer and an ambient light sensor. Other features include an auto-sensing AC adapter that supports worldwide voltages and a variety of pre-installed Google, Toshiba, Android and third party apps and software.
