Broncolor Softbox 120x180 Reviews

Develops color cast/ impossible to get replacement parts

We have purchased various sizes of these Broncolor softboxes. Overall we had a good experience with the lights except if they need to be repaired or if we need to order parts. The softboxes develop a yellow color cast overtime, and it is impossible to get a new inner/outer diffuser replacement. They either make you purchase a whole new softbox for hundreds of dollars or you have to wait weeks to find out if they can even sell you a replacement kit. Buy Profoto.

Excellent soft box

One of my go to soft boxes, looks like window light. Very frustrating it does not come with a speed ring - this should be made clear when purchasing.. .. Or for the price, just throw in a speed ring!!

The Broncolor Softbox (5.9 x 3.9') innder diffusion is even. But it does even out the light in general by that, the outer diffusion and the size of the the softbox.

Hi will the Broncolor Siros L 400 be sufficient to fill the softbox if i'm shooting at a large depth of field e.g f8 and focus stacking?
Asked by: Nicholas
Avoid Broncolor they have horrible customer service, they let me down and I bought over 50K of Bron, many companies offer same light quality for a fraction of the price as light boxes are concerned ; now to answer your question its all about how far you plan to shot with 400L not the aperture. If you are 10f away I think its fine but 30f away probably not

question

Can someone tell us the actual depth of the 12 x 180 box? I can't find it anywhere including when asked here.
Asked by: Brooks A.
When the softbox is assembled, depending on what light you use with it & the speed ring, you are looking at a depth of at Least 2 feet. I use mine with a profoto B1, that makes it close to 2.5 feet deep. Hope this answers your question. D!
