This Broncolor Octabox is an octagonal-shaped softbox with a diameter of 150 cm (59.1"). The Octabox diffuses and softens the light from a strobe unit. It also produces rounded catchlights excellent for portrait photography.

Included with this softbox are 8 rods for constructing and attaching the box to a light with an optional speedring. Also, it comes with a front diffusion panel, an interior baffle, and a transport bag for storage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than Profoto I got both the Profoto and Broncolor Largest octaboxes and I decided to keep the Broncolor because the light quality is softer, it is lighter and it closes without needing to remove the ribs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This octabox is built really well! Hi all, I bought this Broncolor octabox to use with my Profoto monolights (D1 and B1) for portraits, I am using it with an Impact Profoto speedring and it works perfectly (The broncolor/profoto versions are too expensive for what they do). I also own an Elinchrom Rotalux Deep Octa and as a comparison, the Broncolor material is SO MUCH better, the reflecting silver material in the Rotalux has been chipping off because is so thin while in the Broncolor, the material is thick and the outside is strong. After trying out the Profoto counterpart (albeit a bit deeper and more expensive) I took a chance on this Broncolor octabox (150cm), and I'm glad I did. By the way, I always see people having issues assembling big octaboxes, here is a tip: wear the octabox, yes, wear it! and begin sticking the rods in the speedring as you wear it, when you get to the half way point the rest should be easy as pie. Hope that made sense.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love it great soft box with great results; strongly recommend it. wraps the light around beautifully. only downside is the same across all broncolor modifiers: mounting to flash unit is ridiculous (must have been designed by a monkey)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy again Easy break down, super even light used with a siros head. Started off as a fill a portrait shoot, loved the quality so much, used it for the key instead.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Modifier! The octabox by Broncolor is built solidly - nothing about it feels cheap; given the price, it shouldn't feel cheap either. Setting it up takes about a minute or so, thus it's quite easy to use. The light quality it gives me is excellent - very soft especially when used next to the subject. I usually have it a few feet above my head and I stand in front of it or have it off to the side slightly. At times, I'll remove both baffles for a more contrasty look. Definitely one of the more accessible Broncolor products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big and Beautiful Big and beautiful, enough said... Wish they had a 8-10' option at a decent price as well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Pain in the rear to put together. It seems nice that the rods are in place for you and they're seeded in deep pockets but that's the thing that makes this frustrating to assemble. Keep up with Profoto and have rods that snap into place.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Softbox I bought this Octabos=x and the equivalent from Profoto. Both are excellent but I kept this one because is lighter, easier to assemble and the quality of the light is much better.
