Rated 2 out of 5 by from Time is Not On Your Side I have not used this warranty, and quite frankly, I hope I never do. However, I was surprised when I ordered this along with my new Nikon D850 which was back ordered, that the clock started ticking on the warranty from the day of the order. It took 3 months for my camera to arrive due to the heavy demand, Nikon’s backlog, and B&H’s very reasonable policy of filling orders based on the time and date the order was placed. It would seem only fair that the warranty begins when the order is filled, not when it’s placed. If this is standard policy, I would suggest waiting until you receive notice that your item has shipped before buying the warranty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SquareTrade is the best! I fell off a rock at a tide pool and my beloved camera and lens flew into the ocean after falling down many rocks. The lens was smashed and the camera looked like a dying robot in a sci-fi film, firing away at about 60 frames per second. They were both dead. I thought my warranty was over but when I called SquareTrade, I still had 3 days left and they immediately sent me a mailing label to ship both back to them. After about a week and being told by Canon that they were irrepairable, SquareTrade bought be a brand new camera and lens through BH since I told them I only buy my gear through BH! I couldn't believe they bought me a brand new kit. I've had several things die or fall into the water and SquareTrade has ALWAYS covered them without question. don't be fooled by cheaper warranties other big companies offer. Read the reviews. They are terrible. SquareTrade has always been my choice for over 15 years and I've never had a complaint!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top Notch Service as Promised I purchased this product previously for my Sony A7 camera, and when they couldn't repair the item, they quickly replaced it with another new, A7 as promised. A+ service. I purchased my new A7Rii at B&H thanks to the previous awesome service.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Registered my camera. Hope I do not need it Called them to register my A7R II because of Sony's reputation for terrible warranty service. Square trade promised me a confirmation email which I never received. I am concerned that this was probably not a good idea.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Investment You Have To Make - Accidents Do Happen You spent a lot of money on your new camera, accidents happen, Square Trade fixes it. Sorry if that sounded like an ad but it should be. My X-ti fell out of the back of our car, rolled down a step hill and the lens and camera split in two. My SDHC card popped out which was what mattered. I wasn't upset or freaking out about my expensive camera being in two pieces and a piece of asphalt stuck to the sensor. Went online, filed the claim, sent the camera in and within 5 days my claim was approved and within 10 days I had deposited the check. Oh, and placed an orderer for a new camera with B&H. Yes, the premium seems high but it is worth it. This was the third claim I have filed over the past 7 years. One for a camera that got coffee spilled on it and the other one for a broken Apple charger which they also payed for. When I sell a camera or lens I can charge a premium for the item because I can transfer the remaining coverage to the new buyer or I can just cancel the policy and receive a prorated refund. You owe it to yourself to spend the extra 12% and be able to sleep well at night.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Vastly better than other warranties Unlike other protection plans, I have never had an issue reaching someone quickly over the phone when I needed to. Square trade is not only prompt over the phone, but also in taking action to resolve any issues that I have had over the years with my camera products. I cannot speak to their warranties on other goods, but I can't imagine having anyone else for my cannon equipment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Better than the Panasonic warranty I'm a professional videographer who specializes in news and documentary journalism, and this warranty is absolutely essential. It covers everything, from damage caused by an accidental drop to scratches. I researched the Panasonic warranty, but the customer service was bad. Square Trade answers the phone 24 hours a day and is always helpful.
