Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor Quality I bought a Bower .16X fish eye from B&H. It came with 3 adapter rings none of which fit my camera so I ordered a 58-55 step down. Ironically, the adapter ring I ordered turned out to be a Bower. ... The 3 adapter rings included with the Bower lens DID NOT have Bower printed on the ring but they were much stronger and better quality than the one marked Bower. Maybe if I didn't have the other 3 to compare to I would be satisfied but since I did, the difference was huge. Even the threads on the Bower cut into the threads of the other lens. You could see tiny pieces of metal when you removed the ring. As long as they keep selling the Bower adapter ring, I'd steer clear of buying this from B&H. ...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works perfectly. This is an absolutely great product. It works just as it's supposed to, never cross threads, and is very sturdy. It's made of metal, so is far more reliable then it's plastic counterparts, and I have no problems with it what so ever. I have dropped it many times, and it NEVER dents, only scratches. It is even strong enough to hold my add-on filter fisheye lens!!! There are only pros, no cons about this product. I would highly recommend it to anybody that needs one. 5*!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very useful accessory I bought 55 to 58 adapter to use all my 55mm filters on my new Mamiya 80/2.8 Secor lens. This adapter fits 58mm lens threads without any difficulty and all my old filters can be attached to the adapter very easily without any forcing and 55mm filters do not create any vignetting on the 120 film.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Quality Adapter I use this step-down ring to mount my 40 year old fisheye aux. lens to a Canon EF lens 70-300mm IS with excellent results on my EOS 5D. The threads are precise and operate smoothly! The ring's quality is top notch and I am completely satisfied with my purchase!...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what it is supposed to at a reasonable cost I ordered some close-up screw on lenses, thoughtlessly buying the wrong size. Rather than the hassle of re-selling the used lenses, I just bought this nifty little step down ring, which allows me to use the close-up lenses when taking pictures of flowers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well, but...... Threads work well when attaching to lens and it serves its purpose well. However, be aware of possible vignetting at wide angle focal lengths.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Small But Solid Ring I didn't know the brand name General but I relied on B&H to stand behind what they sell. This ring is solid and well machined.
