General Brand 62-52 reviews

62-52mm Step-Down Ring is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good choice Robust and lightweight step down ring. I used it in combination with macro coupling ring to mount (face to face) Tamron 70-300 (62mm diam.) with 50mm (52mm diam.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what it should Purchased this to continue using a pricey starburst filter and Cokin filters that I used on an older Canon AE-1 and Nikon FE both with 52mm rings. Current lenses I use are 62mm. Warning about full frame digital & 35mm film: expect vigneting when using short lenses - anything less than 105mm!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from useful for some lenses Step-down rings save a lot of filter money with lenses that have large filter size but small front elements, like my 60 mm micro-Nikkor. (All my old Nikon lenses take 52 mm.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't let the price fool you I hesitated to buy this ring because of the relative low price but it works well and am very satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big savings not having to buy new filter When I shot film I had lots of different filters to help create some of the effects the new digital cameras have built in. Some of the filters create great effects and I wanted to use them. My problem was my new digital lens. They were not 52mm size. The step-down ring setup allows me (with ease) to adapt the old filters to the digital lens. Easy to use and very inexpensive (especially considering the cost of a new filter for each lens size).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This will save you hundreds! This step-down ring is a great product and so simple to use!! All you have to do is screw it on to your camera lens and then attach the adapter by screwing in into the ring and you're ready to go and be the photographer you always wanted to be. This product will save you hundreds as well!! If you already have an existing camera and bought adapters for it and you still want to use them but you got a new camera or lense and they don't fit, instead of buying a whole new set of adapters all you need is this ring and you can use your old adapters! Also, I bought this ring because I was buying a fisheye adapter that was smaller than my lens, so instead of buying a whole new fisheye lens which would've cost about $ I bought a $ adapter and this ring and saved a lot of money. Adapter lenses allow you to try different types of lenses without actually buying them and with out this step-down ring, or others like it, this would not be possible. Furthermore this ring allows you to keep the lens you already have and just add another one on top of it instead of having to take the lens off the camera or carry two cameras. Amazing product and very good qualty. I have had no problems with it at all, besides that if you screw it on too tight it might be a litle difficult to take off, but stilll definitely worht the money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's a step down ring that's great Bought it to take a nikon 20mm from a 72 to 62 step down to reverse mount to a pb-6 bellows. Remember that the 52 end of this step down doesn't match the bellows opening so you need to put a 52 mm clear filter or 52mm ring on the end of it to mate. I have a bunch laying around but if I didn't I'd be annoyed at my neglecting this detail. Screws on fine and the quality looks good. Not something your using every day so it should be fine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from cheap, but not too cheap The ring I received, which happened to have the BOWER brand name on it, was more cheaply constructed than others I have owned. There were 4 small silver burr marks left over from machining, and the threads are slightly less slick when turning than a premium brand. Still, it works just fine. ...
