The Adapter for Hasselblad V Lens to Sony NEX Mount Camera from FotodioX allows a Hasselblad V lens to attach to a Sony NEX camera body, including full frame NEX. Adapting a larger format lens to a smaller format sensor provides optical as well as practical advantages. The smaller image field helps minimize the effects of lens distortion and aberration by using the center or "sweet spot" of the larger lens' image circle, thus providing edge-to-edge sharpness.

Although the lens will fit physically, automatic diaphragm, auto-focusing, or other electronic functions will not operate correctly while using this adapter. Manual or aperture priority mode must be used when this adapter is attached. Its all-metal design and polished surface provide smooth mounting and long lasting performance.

Built-in tripod mount
On Hasselblad lenses the iris can be manually opened, therefore the shutter does not have to remain open.

Adapter for Hasselblad V Lens to Sony NEX Mount Camera is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Light Leaking I was satisfied with the delivery and use. The build quality looked very good, particular the mounting part of the CF lenses, but: It tuned out that on all my lenses at 4 places (the cut into the bayonet) light leaked substantial and being very noticeable at higher diaphragms. The effect is a circular light part (4x) throughout the whole photo. I have taken detailed photos of the light throughput and so on and sent it to FotodioX to comment. Requested for a solution. I have never heard anything from them! Just want to warn potential buyers that the results are useless using this adapter. Manufacturer has not the politeness to answer and probably has never tested their own product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Black dust from matte finish It feels well made and I had excellent results with it until I touched the inside and my finger was covered in a soot like black dust. I was worried that this stuff was coming off onto my sensor and it was. A quick test of knocking on the adapter over a white surface and sure enough, matte finish starting coming out like a pepper grinder. Even after rubbing it to where no more residue left on my finger, it still releases black dust when bumped. I'm glad they went to the effort to make a matte interior but not at the cost of putting black dust all over the sensor. Will be returning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Breathing life into an old friend I bought the adapter for Hasselblad V lens to Sony E mount camera from B&H because I have a f8/500 Hasselblad Tele Tessar lens and wanted to use it on a Sony Alpha 7R (full frame sensor). As the 7R's sensor is smaller than the covering circle of lens you are only using the 'sweet spot' of the lens and there is a total absence of colour aberration or any cut-off in the corners. It's a sublime combination, and although manual focusing is required it is quite fast and easy to use.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from good enough for the prize I recently received my adaptor, it works just fine. I am using it with my Hasseblad V lens and quality of the file is great, I want to say even excellent. But I am giving 3 stars for this product due to the fact that it arrived dirty inside. VERY dirty inside, which required extensive cleaning. During my product research, I had read a previous review by a purchaser who had the same problem, I had hoped it was a one time anomaly. Unfortunately no. There seems to be manufacturing dust/dirt inside the product which can get dust on the camera sensor.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good that it has a tripod mount It works well and it's good that it has a tripod mount because of the weight of a Hasselblad lens. I'm using a Sony A7 with a Hasselblad 50 F4. The results are good although it's a heavy set up. Like others I've noticed the black powder coat on the interior that comes off if you touch it. That is the only negative

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Adapter This is my first adapter purchase. I have an underutilized Zeiss 80mm f/2.8 Planar T* lens for my Hasselblad 500 C/M and am hoping to get more use out of it on my Sony NEX-6.The adapter feels very solid and features all-metal construction. With lens, the outfit is pretty heavy for such a small camera; however, it balances perfectly on the integrated tripod mount (see product photo). I noticed a very slight bit of play in the adapter when mounted to the camera and lens, but nothing that affected usability or image quality from what I could tell. I probably wouldn't have even noticed it if the lens' focus ring was less resistant. One other note: I had to enable release w/o lens in the NEX-6 menu before I could shoot with the adapter attached. This may be obvious to those who have owned many adapters, but I had to look it up.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great Price but Leaks Light. Using the adapter with my 110mm and 60mm I found light leaks in-between the adapter and the lens. Okay for indoor studio work not okay for outdoor/landscape. I will look into other adapters to determine if there is a suitable product at this price point. Three stars for good price, two lost for poor quality. You can't have it all...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fotodiox does the job. Great fit on both the lens and camera. No electronic communication so you're all manual here. If you have an in lens camera fired shutter in your hassy lens (whatever that's officially called), you won't be able to stop down past wide open.
