Works well on axis, but when the shift lens is far off axis a shadow appears.

The lenses I used with this adapter worked in manual mode just fine. I was discouraged by some "photo experts" to avoid adapters unless I was paying $300 plus for one. But I am very satisfied with this product. I didn't have any unrealistic expectations of getting a sharp looking photo - the results are fun and look dated - very naturally diffused looking.

Works Just As Advertised and Quite Nicely.

Works as it is suppose to and does just what it is intended to do. I purchased this as I have a few very old Pentax K mount lenses that I thought might me nice to use on a Nikon D7100. This little adapter does the trick just fine. All i have to do is mount this on the lens, mount the lens to the camera and enter the proper Non-CPU lens info in the D7100 and it works great in Aperture Priority or Manual metering. Even the Nikon iTTL Flash works great! One of the lenses is a very nice sharp lens so I am very pleased. The only thing that keeps me from rating it all five stars is that it would even be better if it had the CPU electronics built in. However that would probably cost quite a bit more if it could be made to work. This adapter works exactly as advertised. I'm pleased I bought it.

OK Adaptor but not what I was looking for

I bought this adapter to be used with a Pentax K mount 85 mm F1.4 lens. The problem with this adapter is that I cannot get my lens to focus at the widest apertures (f1.4, f1.8); you only get blurred images (from f 2.8 on it works OK)... sadly, I am returning it, since I needed it to work at the f1.4.

Impressed I could once again use an old lens

Amazed I could get an adapter to connect a lens I used on a 35 mm to a digital camera! And it worked

question

I have a Pentax bellow M that suitable for K Series cameras which accept K mount lenses. Will this adapter connect the bellow and a Nikon camera i.e.. D600?. If you know another way to make it works, it will be very much appreciated.Thank you
Asked by: HINH H.
The adapter will connect any F mount camera to the K mount bellows. Whether you will have TTL metering depends upon the camera model.

question

will this work with my nikon D3100?
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes, the FotodioX Adapter for Pentax K Lens to Nikon F-Mount Camera would allow you to use Pentax K mount lenses on the Nikon F-mount on the Nikon D3100 DSLR camera. Do note that as there is no electronic communication between the camera and lens, you would have to use the camera in Manual mode to trigger the camera (Full Automatic, Scene modes, and P/S/A modes would not work with the above adapter).

Since the Pentax ME used Pentax K mount lenses, you would still be able to use this Fotodiox adapter with your Nikon D3200.

I have old SMC Pentax-M 50 1:1.4 50mm (basically 50 f/1.4, I am aware that this lens is manual focus). Want to use it on my Nikon D3300. Will it work with this adapter with infinity focus?

question

I'm having trouble removing the cap off of the F-mount side of the adapter. Does it just pull off or are there threads in which to twist off?
Asked by: Anonymous
The rear cap will feature an F-Mount thread, which must be twisted off in the same fashion as when you would remove the adapter from the camera body. Sometimes it helps to use a flat rubberized jar opener to grip the cap.

does this fit a nikon d850 camera?
Asked by: Larry
Yes. I use one on my D750. The 850 is the same mount. It does have a diopter element to adjust for infinity focus giving whatever Pentax lens a .4x magnification factor when mounted on the adapter.
