This Pro Lens Adapter from Fotodiox enables the use of your Olympus OM lenses on Canon EF-mount DSLR cameras. It features a durable brass construction with stainless steel finish, a leaf spring ensures a secure connection between the lens and adapter, and its design also maintains infinity focus.

This adapter also incorporates a Dandelion Chip, which enables the use of EOS cameras' focus confirmation feature for easier focusing in difficult lighting conditions.

This manual adapter does not maintain automatic lens control between the camera and lens; aperture priority or manual shooting modes should be used, as well as stop-down metering for exposure control.
This adapter is compatible with most Canon EOS camera bodies, however it is not recommended for use with the EOS 5D Mark III.
The Dandelion Chip enables use of EOS DSLRs' focus confirmation feature, however it is not recommended for use with EOS film SLR cameras.

Pro Lens Mount Adapter for Olympus OM Lens to Canon EF-Mount Camera with Dandelion Focus Confirmation Chip is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from It works. I was skeptical, but this actually works. The only problem I'm having with it is that it is difficult to remove the adapter from the adapted lens. You have to remount the adapted lens on the camera and remove the lens first, while leaving the adapter on the camera, then remove the adapter from the camera. Just an extra step. Ideally one would leave an adapter on each lens, but that could get quite expensive. Not a big problem, otherwise 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy this product again. I am a photo enthusiast/hobbyist. I thought I'd try this product out and see if it could/would breathe new life into some old manual lenses I had from the 'days of film' for my old Olympus OMPC camera. I have a Zuiko OM 28mm f2.8, Zuiko OM 135mm f3.5, and a Vivitar Series I 400mm f5.6. My true intent was to see what the quality would look like with the Vivitar 400mm. I am very pleased, although truth be told, if I get serious about using this combo on my Canon DSLR (a 40D) I will need to use a tripod. Hard to hold still when you're pushing a 640MM (comparable) field of view. The focus alert chip in the adapter worked very well. And as there's no glass elements in the adapter itself, there is no light fall-off, nor other type of image degradation. What I liked best was that using this forced me to go back in time and do everything manually: both focusing and exposure. The product absolutely works as advertised. The only drawbacks or product caveats I would mention are these two: Not super easy to get on & off, not bad, just not a speedy endeavor if you're in a hurry. So, if you need to work quickly and have more than one lens to use this with, I would highly consider getting one for each lens. The only other mention, is if you want to leave the adapters in place (on the lens) then you will need to get a Canon lens (the butt cap) cap to put on the lens, as the original manufacturers (the OM cap) will not fit on the lens any more with the adapter in place. Not a big deal, just something to consider when buying this product. I highly recommend the product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A money saver I bought this because I was an Olympus film camera user in the 1980's-90's. I had several cameras and a full range of Zuiko lenses sitting in a bag. No one wanted to buy them. I saw this one day and thought this could work. The adapter is well made and tight. I am still working on technique according to the directions included. I have not yet set up the chip. I have it on my Canon T3i and plan to dedicate that camera to the Olumpus lenses. I was able to remove the adaptor from the camera by itself, but it is easier using the lens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Very Well It can be a little difficult to remove the adapter from the camera without a lens attached but everything fits well and looks great! Very compact/seemingly durable and easy to switch between lenses without removing from camera body.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well made and fits well. My use for this adapter is for mounting Canon, Full-frame, camera bodies on Olympus microscopes. The adapter fit the various Canon bodies well and coupled to the Olympus OM-Mount equally as well. The image focal plane was correct, so excellent images were obtained. It's unclear whether or not the Focus Confirmation Chip will be useful in microscopy. I did note that the chip(s) are glued onto the adapter, otherwise the Pro Lens OM-EF Mounts (with and without the chip) appear to be identical.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works well Adaptation fits perfectly. Chip detects focus pretty good in daylight; doesn't always work in low light settings, minus a star for that. I would buy again for another analog MF lenses.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from well made, but.... I have never been a fan of the whole autofocus, auto camera movement. When I found out I could use my closet full of Olympus lenses on an EOS body I was excited to say the least. The first adapter was a simple ring that allowed me to attach the lens to the body. Focus was iffy due to failing eyesight and the fact that canon never meant for their focus screen in the 5D MKII to be used that way. So this was the next choice. It's a handsome thing, heavy, and machined to fit precisely. And then you come to the instructions which are the complete opposite. I spent a few hours with them before hitting youtube. Nothing there. Found a lot of boards on chipped adapters but they were of no use. Finally took it to a local camera shop that said they would be interested in trying it out. A WEEK later after the whole shop and a few others took a crack at it the dingus works. A feeble flicker of light indicates focus and blinks out if you move so much as a millimeter from that spot. I just don't remember it being that hard to get the shot back in the day. So it does work, takes a small army to set it up, and then more or less needs to sit on a tripod to be at its best.
