For "stop-down" metering for exposure control, what specific type of metering that you suggest? And my other question is "it because of "1.4x multi-coated focus correction lens" does it mean this adapter is only intended for APS-C camera because I intended to use it on Sony a99 ii? Thank you.
Asked by: Abraham
When using the FotodioX Pro Lens Mount Adapter for Nikon F Lens to Sony A Mount Camera, manual aperture lenses work the best with this "Pro Lens Mount' adapter allowing one to "stop down" to get an accurate light reading. Spot metering would work the best. The 1.4x multi-coated correction lens is to correct the distance between the back of the normal Sony lens relative to the Sony A99 II sensor compared to the distance in a Nikon camera. This adapter works with full frame FX Nikon lenses, as well as Nikon DX lenses.

Has anyone had this function perfectly well for a while and then suddenly a blue haze appears in the center of the frame? It's a lot like what an infrared camera does with high quality lenses if you're familiar with that aberration.
Asked by: Suzanne
Hey Rob, I wish that were the case. I've seen fogging from condensation before (Florida photographer here ;) ) But this is different. I've gone over it with a fine tooth comb (aka a lens cloth and magnifying specs to give it a good look over, nothing appears to be out of place or fogged. No dust, nothing. Very strange.

question

Does stabilization still work on sony a65?
Asked by: Anonymous
The FotodioX Pro Lens Mount Adapter for Nikon F Lens to Sony A Mount Camera does not have any electronic contacts and will not transfer any information from the lens to the camera for auto exposure, autofocus, or image stabilization purposes. The Sony Alpha SLT-A65V has built-in sensor-shift image stabilization, so I would recommend using the camera's built-in stabilization when using the above adapter for image stabilization purposes.
