LensCoat Pro Overview

For protecting your camera and telephoto lens from the elements, use the RainCoat 2 Pro Camera Cover (Realtree Max-4) from LensCoat. This product affords easy access to camera and lens controls while deflecting water, snow, salt spray, dust, sand, and dirt. Constructed from a lightweight waterproof and breathable poly tricot material with tape-sealed seams, this cover also features an integrated storage pocket and left side foldaway arm sleeve for easy access to lens controls and manual focus operation. This RainCoat 2 Pro is designed for use with DSLR cameras with 200-400mm, 300mm f/2.8, or 800mm-sized lenses. A hood extension sleeve is included for complete coverage of 600mm and 800mm lenses with attached hoods.

Cinch straps are incorporated into the front and rear of the cover for adjusting the fit of the case to your specific lens. The two side pockets both reveal foldaway arm sleeves for protected access to your camera. The rear of the cover can also be exposed if complete access is needed, and the bottom of the case features a hook-and-loop fastened seam for attaching a tripod. This product is made in the USA.

The Realtree Max4 design features a wide variety of plant-like patterns that mesh well with trees and vegetation commonly found in wetlands. This makes it well-suited for hiding from birds and other types of wildlife.
Pro size is ideally suited for DSLRs with 200-400mm, 300mm f/2.8, and longer prime telephoto lenses up to 800mm. The hood extension sleeve provides full coverage of 600mm and 800mm lenses when using them with their hoods attached.
Cinch straps adjust the total cover length by folding the material over itself and keeping the cover snug on variable sized lenses.
Lightweight, waterproof, and breathable poly tricot material with tape-sealed seams protects the lens and camera from rain, snow, salt spray, dirt, sand, and dust.
No-slip rubber is added to the front section to provide a solid grip on the lens hood without the use of a bungee cord.
Two integrated side pockets reveal foldaway arm sleeves for easy access to camera and lens controls.
A hook-and-loop closure runs along the bottom of the cover to permit the use of a tripod or monopod, as well as manual focus control of the lens barrel.
The size and shape of the rear opening can be adjusted for greater protection or for easier control access. This cover does not require the use of a dedicated eyepiece.
A mesh storage pouch is included for packing the cover when not in use.
Compatible with optional LensCoats, Hoodie lens caps, and camera BodyGuards.

will this work with the wimberley gimbal?

will this work with the wimberley gimbal?
Asked by: Khody
In theory, since there is an opening for the lens collar/foot, it should work. In practice though, it might be a little cumbersome to use and balance when on the Wimberley gimbal. I'd recommend practicing/attempting to balance lens on your gimbal at home before taking it out onto the field.

Other than long lenses I have a few wide angle lenses (Like Nikon 14-24 and Nikon 8-15) can this raincoat be adjusted in case I would want to use one of the small lenses?
Asked by: Elad
It would be pretty awkward. The cover is 29" long, which fits my 600mm well. The fat end is 13" in diameter. There's a lot of material there. However, there is a Velcro seam along the entire bottom of the lens. You could probably manage to bunch up most of the fabric under your gear. What I would do instead is to pirate the shower cap from the next hotel in which you stay and use that for your shorties.

question

I have a Nikon 810 with a Tamron 150-600mm G2. Does anyone have experience with this lens and this specific LensCoat RainCoat 2 Pro Camera Cover? If so, does it cover the entire setup?
Asked by: Ron
I use this with a canon 7d mark ii and 5d mark 3. Great choice if you cannot afford Canon 500mm or 600mm Prime , these are the best lens by far even if they are used.Only problem with G2 I did not like was adding a 1.4 converter with it.They might have improved on the 1.4 by nowJust remember you need more light with the G2 Have fun

question

Will the LCRC2PM4 fit the Canon5DM4 with the 100-400mm II Usm with the 1.4 extender with the Wimberley Sidekick gimbal on a RRS ballhead? I also use the Tamron 150-600 lens and would like one raincoat to fit both.
Asked by: Kathy
No, this one is way too big for your 100-400 Canon set up, it is for large lenses like 400,500&600mm f/2 or f/4 lenses. for your setup use the standard size. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/815180-REG/LensCoat_LCRCSM4_RainCoat_Standard_Realtree_Max4.htmlThis one should also work for your tamron just fine too. Yes it will work with gimble or ball heads.

question

Will this fit with a Wimberely Sidekick attached to a RRS ballhead and a 600mm Nikon lens?
Asked by: Don D.
I use it on the Nixon 400 f2.8 and there is plenty of room. I use the extension fabric as a lens cover in severe weather.

question

How well does this fit the Sigma 150-600mm Contemporary? Would the Raincoat 2 Standard be a better fit (although I fear it might be slightly too small)?
Asked by: Andy
I do not have Sigma 150-600mm lens. I bought the raincoat 2 for Nikon 400mm, 2.8 lens, and I have not used it in the field yet.
