The DNA 1000 Small Camera Stabilizer from Glide Gear is a handheld system that allows you to make smooth, professional-quality camera movements that are free from shakes and jitters when recording footage. The DNA 1000 supports small cameras weighing between 0.7 and 3.7 pounds. It features a camera mounting plate, center post with gimbal assembly, hand grip, base platform sled, and 20-piece counterweight set. Utilizing the three-axis gimbal joint and dynamic balance sled system, the stabilizer gives you the freedom to move in all directions while keeping the camera level and balanced.

An easy-release camera plate allows you to attach and remove the camera without the use of tools. The camera attaches to the plate via 1/4" or 3/8" mounting holes. For balancing the camera horizontally, the plate's control knobs can adjust the mount forward, backward, and side to side. Vertical balance is obtained by adjusting the height of the telescoping center post and by changing the amount of counterweight on the base platform. A foam cushioned grip on the handle reduces fatigue and adds comfort. A carrying case is included for easy transport.

DNA 1000 Small Camera Stabilizer is rated 3.2 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from It could get the job done - be patient Bottom line of this stabilizer is: With patient, you could get silky smooth video. There are two major problems with this particular model: 1. The load capacity description in bhphoto is between 0.7 to 3.7 lb, but in the Manuel it said 700gram. In my own experience, I need extra counterweight plate for GH2 + Panasonic 14mm F2.5 + Rode Videomic + quick release plate, which weight 8xx grams. 2. Since you can not shift the base platform left and right (only front and back), you have to manual shift the counter weight to achieve balance. I HIGHLY recommend the purchase of two things: a light quick release plate and 1 or 2 spirit levels to check balance.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works Great With Canon My Canon 60D This stabilizer is a pretty decent alternative to the name brand Glidecam. I just had to pick up some cheap washers from the hardware store for more counter weight. And as with all stabilizers, it takes a LOT of practice to get really great looking shots. I used it for a whole day shooting a wedding and it was awesome. It really makes the finished product look sooooo much more professional. If you do have a small or medium sized DSLR or camcorder, this is a must have. I only gave 4 out of 5 stars because the foam on the handle is a bit cheapy, and the little tightener thing on the adjustable rod is kinda small and is hard to tighten. But overall, it works great. :) Thank you B and H!!!! :D

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I would not recommend I never got to use this because i did not like the plastic parts. They did not hold tight and they allowed for easy slip after it was adjusted. There should not be plastic clamps on equipment that needs to be finely adjusted like this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great stabilizer for small sized cameras I used this product for a DSLR camera (nikon D750 with a 24mm 1.4 lens) but it doesn't support. The camera is too heavy. But I did tried with a smaller camera, and it works perfectly. I will say, the set up it is time consuming.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very useful, but hardware not up to par The only bad thing abot this was the screw on the center post is difficult to use. It even stripped within 24 hours of owning it. The company sent a replacement within days and that one works fine.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from sorry, this is just a poor Chinese waste since I was not paid by Glide Gear and don;t offer my soul on fiverr I submit this honest review: this is poorly made cheap shlock gear that will not do the job if you are INDEED a filmmaker or even wedding photographer, it's terrible to balance, and so poorly manufactured that some of the pieces don;t even fit well. Honestly DIY stabilizers are better that this Glide Gear, think fake rolex.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Get what you pay for. Good stabilizer. Not super awesome, but gets the job done. Using it with a sony a3000 and bower 8mm fisheye. Could have a longer main post, but as long as you stay within the weight recommendation, it's pretty sweet

Rated 3 out of 5 by from recommend it your on a tight budget I have slowly become a fan of the glide gear products. After loving some additional products I decided to give this small stabilizer a chance. Balanced nice and easy with my canon 70d. However my 5dmkiii with a samyang 14mm took so almost an hour to balance...but I was determined especially since it was in its recommended weght. I didn't have a quick release plate at the time so I had to keep undoing the bracket to manipulate the camera on the plate... so I highly recommend a quick release plate. I would have rated this at 3.5 decided to round down because of a couple of cons... the bottom piece that the weights are attached to to the center pole unscrews at random...also the screw hardware on the center pole is plastic and just cheapens the product...overall good product you just have to be more patient than you would a competitor like glidecam
